Wow, funny how shit happens.....

so here i am not wanting to go out last night. had a killer migraine and got out of work at 12. my girl calls wasted and wants me to meet up with her. knowing she drove i of course went out to make sure she was okay. after going out we went to eat to try and sober her up a bit. during the course of the convo she had mentioned how she really wanted something in her life to change (mind you not a breakup at all, just something else in her life, like job or something). so i follow her home and for some reason the fog was really thick. like you could only see a foot in front of the car. so after she gets in im on my way home. like 30 seconds from her house and i notice deer eys right in front of my car. i swerve to avoid it and smash right into another. the damn thing rolls up the hood right up to the windshield. so i get out, car still on with the deer in front of the car. im like a foot away from it. it gets up, looks at me and trots off. luckily no damage to my car either (my brand new 2003 grand am gt) so i lucked out. i just sat there shaken. nothing like that ever happened before to me. so i callled my girl and told her and she had mentioned what she said earlier in the night but how she didnt mean it towards me (of course) and that she wouldnt know what to do if it had been a serious accident. if it was like 2 minutes earlier it would have been her (with her next to none reaction times being slighty smashed as it was) and i KNOW she would have plowed that deer and wrecked her car. with me right behind i have no idea how i would have handled such a thing. funny how shit like that can happen when you least expect it. so id say today is a good day. im damn appreciative to be okay.

Living in a state where huge animals can jump out in front of your car is nuts. Alls I ever run over down here are crabs and possums.

Its kinda funny how it layed there on your hood and then just looked at you like "BISH! Oh no you didn't jus run ovah me with yo car!"

I think my mom has hit 3 deer in the past couple years.

yeah thats what freaked me out. i assume it just stood there basically next to me because it was stunned. all i got was a beard on my fender. im sure i wont be able to drive to her house that way for a while. im so glad it didnt happen to her tho.

hitting crabs huh? lol. i was with my cousin once and he destroyed a beaver that was already dead. actually it destryoed the whole undercarrage of his car. it fealt like running over a fucking cinder block or a small pipe bomb going off under us. just a hard pile of destructive force with a big ass tail laying in the road. funny shit.

I've hit four deer (although one ran into the side of my car, so I consider it the deer hitting me) and been in the car with my mother when she hit one.

At least you don't have to worry about Moose in PA (I don't think you do, anyway).

If you smack into a moose at 40mph with anything less than a tractor trailer, you will die.

I grew up on the opposite side of PA, and though we didn't have moose, we did have black bears. Those are fun to see while driving at night.

Never hit any deer myself, but my sister plowed a couple. Did a number on her car.
