New hosts for The Man Show

I've been watching the new season of The Man Show on Comedy Central here and there, and to be honest, I really don't care for it anymore now that Joe Rogan and Doug Stanhope have taken over for Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla. It's a number of things- Jimmy and Adam managed to be both low-brow and yet witty at the same time. Almost everything they did was firmly tounge-in-cheek and the show had an overall charm. Meanwhile, Joe and Doug have none of that wit. They're not even all that funny. They just sit there and say stereotypical guy things, the crowd cheers, then show some lame-ass skits, like "Blue Balls". The new set is almost barren, the theme music became this gay metal song (same lyrics, though) and there's NO MAN SHOW TOAST. :eek: It's not like they're trying to do something different with the new show- they just took the basics from the original and did nothing else with it. It's not a huge change from the format of the original show but something major justs seems to be missing, and it's really turning me off. I miss Jimmy and Adam. :(

At least they still have the girls on trampolines!

Yeah I pretty much agree with you. I've laughed a few times at the show, but nothing like I usually do when it's got Adam and Jimmy at the helm.
Some of the new sketches just plain suck.
But yeah...least my two fav Juggies are still there.

Agree D. I think that new hosts suck. I miss the old Man Show.

Question about those Man Show DVDs, are they uncensored? It didn't say anything on the box so i guess they aren't, but i can still hope...

I dont really like this show. Never did. Just a good idea gone horribly wrong. Im all for "man stuff" (not a shred of metrosexuality in me) but the show just... sucked. Now it just sucks more.

Hmmmm...good question. I have no idea. It'd be stupid if they were...if I pick them up I'll let you know.

I don't like it.

The Man Show was always kind of hit-or-miss with me (even though I think Adam Carolla is hilarious on Loveline), and without Jimmy and Adam the charm of the show is gone. Dolemite really hit it on the head. It's not that Doug and Joe aren't funny; they just don't go all out for the laughs like Jimmy and Adam. They're too self-conscious.

It's awful now. Not that the original Man Show was comedy gold, but it was still decent and at times pretty funny. And no more Man Show Boy.

Jimmy and Adam were total dweebs, and that worked well with the show. The new guys are really generic.

Not even self-consious more like vulgar. They go for the cheap pops like wrestling. The skits aren't even outragous more like going for the toilet bowl humor. And that don't work well ... not after the Corolla/Kimmel skits. If that never existed ... then I think it would be funny. But since they come after the Corolla/Kimmel series ... then they are just unoriginal and disgusting.

Adam and Jimmy knew how women were and really ripped them apart. Doug and Joe just act macho.
