Could it be possible that different t.v's display colors with different tints, go to best buy and youll see it plain as day...

So are you basically saying that what the picture show is the "default" setting and not the "best possible" adjusted setting?

cool shit. but really im with vid. im 25 and the 2600 was also my first system and i remember my games looking a helluva lot better than those before shots. but i know what you mean jmet, i HATE when people look at tv's in a store and comment on the quality not knowing the colors are

2 the feed is splity between all 10,000 sets on display

The screenshot looks like it's fake, but not inaccurate. I remember having crazier stuff than that happen with my Atari games - weird colours popping up where they weren't supposed to, strange rainbow fuzz, etc.

It kind of adds to the whole "old video game" atmosphere, though. Atari would feel wrong without it somehow.

Its almost worth it...I still have my VCS from 1979...I could dust it off and enjoy TURMOIL again!

Exactly. I used to work in video at Circuit City when I was in college...you know what I gained from that? When I shop for a TV, I know to ask, "Can I get a dedicate DVD player hooked up to this?" before I would ever think about buying.

I remember the weird stuff everyonce in a while, but I would expect the "before" image to be more representational of a normal/average screen shot. Including it being adjusted to the best possible picture.
