The PS2 runs off 120v AC, unlike the PSone which is 9v DC. You will not be able to find a battery like that! Go buy an inverter, and everyone will be happy.

Well that would certainly work, but the thing looks massive, 18 lbs I think it said.

Judging from the specs, it seems to just be a car battery with a power inverter built in.
