The LA City Council is the most fucking useless group of people ever. Just a few weeks ago they tried to ban lapdances in strip clubs.
I mean, cmon... this is Los Angeles we are talking about. There are plenty of problems with the city. Wasting good taxpayer money on this (and LA City sales tax is very high) is just insane.

Its not just Hard Drives, its been a term used in electronics for years.
On professional Video tape equipment, used for dubbing and editing, the playback machine is master. the recording machine is slave. Been that way for decades.
Maybe someone should remind these folks that no one race can claim exclusivity on being a slave.
