The older Cherokee wagons were tough as nails. My friend was on a ice covered hill and rammed into a cheap ass car. The bumper did'nt even have a dent in it. One of my friends had a Jeep CJ-4 and was crossing a river with it. The only reason it died, was because he knocked the oil pan off the thing.Quote:

Subaru makes great 4wd vehicles as well. If you go to Montana or Colorado, you'll see a ton of those vehicles on the road. Here in Texas, everyone buys a Ford, Chevy or Dodge 4wd thinking it's some bad-ass vehicle. Take it into the real extremes and you'll find they are more than incapable of handling what they are supposed to.
The original Hummer was bad ass, with a clearance level beyond any 4wd on the market. The H2 however, is nothing but a glorified SUV.
