I love the movie but I do not support this idea. Goes against the mentality of the movie.
You are not your fucking videogames.

Alright! Time to license out the anti-capitalist movie. I want Fight Club soap and a decent line of action figures to max out my credit cards on, so that when all the companies get blown up I don't have to pay a cent.
Oh, and my OPSM disk doesn't work! Aargh!!!

So I picked up the mag, right? And the only frikkin' demo I actually wanted to play didn't work. Damn you R-Type Final, for toying with my emotions.
Damn OPM better fix up their demos so they won't be defective, they're the only reason why we buy the mag.
I have some.Quote:

Oh, and R-Type Final is being bought on day of arrival. It was true before I played the demo but now it's extra-true. Sure, it was kind of easy once I'd played it through with all three ships, but I didn't touch the customization options and somehow I'm pretty sure it might pick up in difficulty later on.
Current release date, according to EBgames.com, is 2/4/04, at $30. Woo!

I got a different disk and the R-Type booted up, trouble free. Man, this game is great! A worthy finale for a worthy series. I might even go so far to say that this game is higher up the list that Gradius V, but I still haven't played Gradius, so I could be jumping the gun.
Does the R-Type Final demo just contain the very first level?
If so, your in for a treat as thats the only level that plays out like that with long bouts of nothing and camera swoopings with you just sitting there to ambience. The rest of the game is actually much better(Minus level 2 and all it's horrid variations) and having only the first level is kinda a bad example of the game.
