1. Let's say I order something off the net, do they calculate taxes depending on which state you're in and add that to the price?
2. This might sound stupid but.. I read somewhere that you sing the national anthem every morning at school, is that true in some states, nation wide or just bullshit?
3. Is it still illegal to have oral sex in some states?
1) I'm not sure... I think there's tax if you live in the same state the store's in, or something. Someone else get this one.

I never sang the national anthem EVER. I didn't pledge allegiance in my old private school but I think every public school does it. However I have heard recent arguments that they wanted to get rid of it because one line says "One nation under God".
And the law dealing with Oral sex is just one of the crazy laws we have in the US. Did you know it's illegal to detonate a nuclear device in the city of Boston? What kind of law is that, I'm sure the people you killed would be enough to put you in jail for life around 500 times.
Tax free unless you reside in the same state, and the guy is selling from an actual business. I don't think it's enforced really.
I went to experimental schools, so I don't think I ever had to do the pledge. Also I think it's quite uncommon in public schools today.
Yes, buttseks is illegal in many southern states. I think Michael Moore had a bit on his show "The Awful Truth" were he toured the southern states in a van which I think he called the Sodomobile which was filled with gay men supposedly engaged in poopydicking.
1. There's only sales tax if the store is in the same state that the item will be delivered to. But some places like bestbuy.com charge tax no matter what (but they don't charge shipping).
2. We had to say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in grade school but not after that. No national anthem though. (This was back in the 80's)
3. Yes but it's one of those laws we have that no one enforces.
1- Only if you're in the same state do they charge for sales tax online.
2- We sang a variety of national songs and recited the Pledge back in Elementary, though this practice is dropping most everywhere.
3- Absolutely. A lot of sex-related things are illegal in certain states. Each state has it's own set of laws regarding sexual conduct and all things related.
Just to give a bit clearer of an answer on this one, if the place you are ordering from has retail representation in the state you are in, then you pay sales tax. If not, then no. However, I do believe a few places (Amazon?) have begun collecting taxes "just in case."Quote:

Well, some states still have them, but they only get brought out in cases where they can be used as extra charges to bring in somebody really bad. (For example, a rapist or whatnot.) There aren't a lot of cases where the laws get used against two consenting adults, though it does occasionally happen.Quote:

I don't think amazon charges tax. I order from them quite a bit and I've never been charged extra. Unless they're adding it into the price of the item.
Personally I think it's creepy to require small children to chant their obedience to the government. I think when I was in a different school during 3rd grade we had to recite the pledge. IIRC I just mouthed along because I was affraid to appear unpatriotic.
My highschool still says the Pledge of Allegiance every single morning.
