Walking out of a Movie before it is over

I know people do it but it seems like such a waste of money. I've never left a Movie before it was over, cause I was bored, offended, etc. I have fallen asleep but that was at some Disney animation. I did leave the Movie Exit Wounds casue I felt sick that day, but otherwise it seems to be better to stick it out, so you can fully decide if you like it or not, but that is just me. For people that leave 30 minutes into the Movie, do they see something else? Cuz I'm pretty sure they can't get a refund.

I walked out of ONE movie in my life- The Specialist, with Sly Stallone and Sharon Stone. Holy shit, that movie was bad. I didn't pay for it, however (me and my friends always sneak into movies), so no loss there. My friends stayed, so I just waited for them in the lobby and played SF2.

Specialist was alright, it was back when Sharon Stone was actually attractive.

Ever get busted for sneaking in? I've seen people just duck under the ropes, right in front of employess, or open the exit door. It seems like they never care.

If a movie is really shitty in the first 30 minutes, I'd rather save myself from the next hour to hour and a half of torture than worry about what little money it cost to get in. That said, I've only left early once.

No, never been busted, and we've been doing it for years. And it's nothing as crude as sneaking in under the ropes. Let's just say that we've come up with a foolproof method that enables us to walk right past the usher without him giving us a second glance. It's dead simple and it works every time. Put a little thought into it and you should be able to figure out how we do it yourself... ;)

As for the employees not caring, would you care if some clown was sneaking in if you made minimum wage for ripping tickets and saying "third theater on the left, enjoy your show."...? That apathy just makes it easier.

I walked out on Master and Commander about 90 mins in, it was just way too fucking slow and I was bored as hell.

I worked at a movie theater for a while and it's true, the employees don't care. Well, I certainly didn't at least. It was more entertaining to see the different methods people used.

One guy told me he was waiting for his wife. Fine, you can wait in the lobby, but he proceeded to slowly start walking towards the theaters as he talked, telling me I should be in movies. "You know, you really do look like you could be in movies, you've got the figure, the face, I can see it now! Julian--on the big screen! (He said this while making a frame with his hands...still trying to walk inside). I said ok, sure, and didn't say anything.

Some little kid tried so damn hard to get into an R-rated movie. After he finally got someone to buy him a ticket he comes up to me and he's like two feet tall, and I ask if he's 18 and suprisingly he was not 18. Eventually he decided the best method was to bolt thru the exit doors when people were leaving.

The best method is just walking thru when the ushers have their hands full with people coming in.

Movies are shit anyways, I figure if you care enough to risk getting busted, you've earned the free ride.

BTW, my movie theater was awarded "Easiest Theater to Sneak Into" by the local paper when I was working there. A job well done.

I almost walked out on Timeline.

Horrible. Fucking. Movie.

I walked out on Ernest Scared Stupid when I was five with my grandmother. Mainly because I was both A: not feeling well and B: the movie scared me.
