Worth every cent.
to order..or not to order.
Not even worth it.
Imagine being one of the guys that developed a $0.01 game. Like, some people take more pride in their work than others, but I'd guess most everyone expects they're putting their time into something that will eventually be worth more than one lousy cent. I guess you can blame it on the publishers, or someone else you were working with, or so on - maybe overproduction of the CD.
i bought plasma sword at gamestop for a penny. no tax. so technically, it's cheaper than that one because there is no shipping involved.
funny thing is, i sold it back to them a few months later, and they gave me a quarter for it.
You can even have 3 other friends play your one penny game with you splitscreen!
yeah .01+19.99 shipping
I bought four copies of plasma sword for one cent.
How did I do it you ask?
25% employee discount. Yeah baby!
By the way... don't ask me how many copies I have. Its not even funny...
Exactly what I was going to say, except I bought two of them, and I kept one sealed so I could show of the price tag if no one believes me.Quote:

I collect SMB / Duck Hunt cartridges because they're usually less than a buck. I think I'll stop when I reach a hundred, I'm close to half way there.
1000 copies. The greatest ten dollars I could ever spend.
Despite how much shipping would be, I'm SO tempted to do that.
For what? Skeet shooting? Make a path in the backyard garden? Super glue to your ceiling :) .Quote:

The cheapest DC game I've found was a copy of JGR for $1.59 at Target, I was choking on rage all the way to the cash register. *-neo
Wow, 1 Cent for Plasma Sword? I bought that game for $15 at Best Buy like a year and a half ago. I found the game worth $15, but 1 Cent is even better. And Magforce racing is a huge pile of crap. Makes sense its a penny.
A bit different, but a friend tried to trade in some PSX football game at EB, and I beleive they offered him a nickel for it. He didn't take it.
Hey 88,
I'll gladly buy one of those copies off ya for $1.00.
Think of the profit you'll make! :D
Eh, games were reduced to .01 cent at EB alot back in the day, especially when I worked their, though our manager wouldn't let us buy more than a couple at a time so everyone could have a crack at 'em. I guess that was fair
I'm down... :)Quote:

PM me.
Exactly. If you never read it, I posted a while back about a giant CD war that went on in my house when we had 1000 AOL trial CDs, and we've been looking for a stash to beat that. Of course, with CD cases added, it'd be twice as hurting...Quote:

In any case, I could hand them out to people for fun, decorate my walls, throw them at passing people on the street, whatever. I mean, 1000 CDs? That's plenty to do whatever you want just for the damn hell of it.
I was thinking about getting 100 copies of the game... But what would happen.. i wonder... i dont want it to be an error.. and get charged like 1000 dollars or something..
who discovered that in the first place?
Now Shidoshi, I know you weren't scouring the net for the best price on MagforceRacing? were you?!?:o
I worked on Sinistar Unleashed for the PC. I bet you'd be hard pressed to find many people who would pay 1 cent for it.Quote:

*sigh* :(
It would be worth it just to get the empty jewel cases. You could fix up all the cracked and not so new cases you have if you bought 100 Mag Force games.
Anyway, I bought 1. Yes, you read that right, I bought 1. I would feel bad buying several and not playing them, knowing damn well there are other people out there who will actually play them.
Total Cost:
Game .01
Shipping 4.39
Total $4.40
In related news, if anybody has any copies of Plasma Sword for sale, I'll take one off your hands. At the time 1 cents seemed a little steep, but now that I am getting closer to owning every DC game, I think i can afford it.

Don't everyone buy one at once now, you'll make it harder on other people pocketbooks :D.
Shameless Plug:
I caused nearly a 1.00 price hike on SMB/DH carts when they were $.09 a piece because I bought so many in such a short time, I was planning on ordering another 99 when funcoland.com still existed, total: $9.98 + $109.00 shipping, no thank you. Oh well, I now have 302 copies of Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt and I still need more.
NGEFreek, were you the one planning to build a chair out of SMB/Duck Hunt carts?
Well, we have a bunch at my store, and the local funcoland. PM me if you want me to pick some up for you.Quote:

But yeah, I once had a dream to make a chair out of SMB/DH carts.

I have 50-60 copies of SMB. I stopped collecting them when my local funcoland changed the price from $.09 to $.99. :(
Actually, when I first remember you saying this to us, a few days later I came across a copy for $5, and picked it up just because of you. Never got too far in it (had trouble getting the controls just the way I wanted them, and ended up needing the HD space afetr awhile), though.Quote:

Hmmm...25 copies of Plasma Sword...or a gumball. Wow, you really can buy a lot with a buck these days.
10-10-220 was right.
Terry Bradshaw and Doug Flutie would never lie. Okay, maybe Doug Flutie.
man, there's quite a few people here with 50+ copies of smb/dh. i have 53.
How many copies do you think Sam Goody has? I have read people saying they will buy 100 of them, do you think they even have that many? And I doubt they will restock them.
Interested in getting rid of them at all?Quote:
