I saw this last friday on PBS. Admittedly I was waiting for GlobeTrekker to come on (it never did) but I found this episode very revealing to me. I'm sure alot of guys like Stone and all who really keep up with US Policy Politics and Economy know that there is over a Trillion dollars unaccounted for in Defence spending in the past few years but I didn't know it. In fact, I'm pretty aggrivated about it.
The shows weren't available on the net untill today so if you missed it you can see them here:

The two most important ones to watch are "Inside the Pentagon," and "Interview with Chuck Spinney," however the short Introduction can get you better up to speed on what it's about. Please watch these. War and Iraq non-withstanding every tax payer has a right to know this very general information about Defence Spending.
If you're particularly interested, there are more links on the site which lead to more statistics and information reguarding this subject. One interesting blurb not in the video is that we spend more on Defence than in Education, Transportation, Environment and Agriculture combined. Without a large opposing nation threatening the US, I find it odd that weapons are continually being made to fight such threats (like the Soviet Union). I'm not sure what a Ballistic Missle Defence would do in a war on Terrorist (even though the war on terror was used to push this past).
