Does anyone drive the speed limit anymore?

I consider myself a good driver, never caused an accident and only had 1 speeding ticket in some small hick town that used speed traps for town income.

I always drive within 5 miles of the speed limit, yet I constantly see people doing like 70-75 in 55-60 mph zones.

Do these people not give a shit, do they really need to get to that light so quick just to get there and sit while I slowly come up behind them and sit for 60 seconds less then they did.

What is the rule that says if someone is behind you that they must pass you as if to prove that they are faster then you are.

Keep up or get the fuck out of the way.

I'm always 5 or less over the limit. Cops don't hardly go after people for doing this unless they have nothing better to do (most likely it'll be a prick).

You are supposed to go with the flow of traffic, if that flow is the speed limit.

I don't have my liscence yet but when I first started driving I drove real fast like the rest of the dumb kids. I keep it within 10 MPH of the speed limit now, it's a good life preserver and doesn't put others in danger.

Here in Iowa, most people are at 75 minimum (in 65 zones). I usually go right around the speed limit, never more than 5 above.

In WV, where I'm moving soon, the freeways are 75, but most everyone goes 60-65. It's weird.

I tend to drive 30-40 mph above the speed limit.

Unless its in a residential area, then I try to do 50 above.

Fuck the kids.

I keep with the flow of traffic. Here in Delaware, the flow is about 70 - 75 mph on I-95. The speed limit is 55. Trust me, you're taking your life in your hands if you go 55 here. The other motorists don't like that too much.

I hear ya, if im on I-4 or malfunction junction I dare not go the speed limit.. you cant be boxed and closing peope off....

But on country roads and neighborhoods people are drag stripping it... and im like wtf...

It depends on the situation. If your in the left lane, and doing 60 you shouldn't be there. The left lane on a highway is for passing, so you stay to the right when your not passing someone. It's how that Autobahn in germany works. If you don't haul ass you stay right to let others do so. If everyone followed that rule, highways are a lot safer.

Oh, and people who don't accelerate when in the acceleration lane to get on a highway should be fined.
