This is PC-indie-rock-pete centric, but lemme know if you can think of any other current publishers that are doing this sort of work:

With games like Dominions 2, Kohan, GalCiv and others, these publishers have all helped bring out games that I really, REALLY like.
Any other good ones out there I'm forgetting?

If Steam goes through, they MAY become the internet publisher I've been waiting for the last 3-5 years. But with that gratuitous hack and the horrible launch Steam had, they'll have a bit of an uphill fight. Plus their total confusion about pricing schemes etc. Dunno, we'll see.
I'm looking for more established publishers that have put out a lot of interesting titles. Essentially, I'm beyond disgusted with 'Atari' (HA, Atari my ass), EA, Eidos, etcetc. The megapublishers blow.
