Party Games

I need a list of some really good party games, I'm looking for things that are competitive in nature, and they can be on either psx (I'd really like to see some 4 player games for this), ps2, gc, xbox, or dc, and possibly something else. 4 player games are prefered, but 2 will do as well. I'm looking for those easy to pick up and play type games for the next time I get together with friends. I don't know, maybe something puzzley.

Here is what I DON'T want:

- Mario Party
- Convential sports like Madden, etc.
- Golf games.
- Anything that involves you moving your body like a fool or singing. (But I am considering Eye Toy)

These are okay, but I'd rather avoid them:
- Racing games.
- Fighting games.


These games have proven to be hits with my friends in the past: Worms World Party, Fantavision, Mario Party (much to my disdain), beach spikers, the Monkey Ball games, and some other stuff I can't remember.

I recently bought Amplitude, and I'd like to see how that pans out with my friends, as well as You Don't Know Jack for psx.

Oh, and I was wondering how that Bomberman, Monopoly Party or ZooCube game for GC was, as far as multiplayer fun goes.

smash bros-turn the items way up, so no fighting strategy can actually be maintained, jsut pure, insane carnage.

hunter-redeemer-really refined the levels thing sothat you cna easily find a role in a team and work it to the team's advantage, my friends and i play this just about every time we get together. the only problem is the timed levels actually need some cohesion, rather than just carnage, those required me to take a cattle prod to my buddies to get them in line.

kung fu chaos, set up weird music on the custom soundtrack ,and go to town

Karaoke Revolution (PS2) - Go fuck yourself and buy it =D
Devil Dice/Bombastic (PSOne/PS2) - Really fun puzzle game for 4 players, once everyone understands it.
Poy Poy (PSOne) - It's Bomberman but free roaming and you throw weapons at each other instead of laying bombs. One of the most hectic 4 player games on the PSOne.
TimeSplitters 2 (PS2,XBOX,GC) - Capture the monkey! Goldeneye with tons of more multiplayer options.
Top Spin (XBOX) - 4 player doubles!
Def Jam Vendetta (PS2,XBOX,GC) - The best wrestler of the year.

Off the top of my head, thats all I can think of.

Chu Chu Rocket is a total blast.

Nightfire on Xbox, Mario Kart: DD... um...

smash bros- Nah, last time we played this none of us enjoyed it.

Poy Poy (PSOne) - I've played this with 4 people, I didn't like it, but thanks for inadvertanly reminding me of Blast Chamber.
TimeSplitters 2 (PS2,XBOX,GC) - We tried playing halo once, but no one had the patience, I don't think FPS' will pan out, but I won't write it off. I may get Red Faction 2, only because it's like $10 at some places.
Top Spin (XBOX) - Very possible, everyone loved virtua tennis.
Def Jam Vendetta (PS2,XBOX,GC) - Possible
Double Dash - Thats already in the works.


Oh, and I just remembered that everyone loves chu chu rocket. Anything puzzley like that would be cool.

Ore no Ryouri (Cooking game) has always proven to be a big hit. Really fun competing against others.

Puzzle Bobble - Really any version, classic.

Bomberman Generations is great with four players, as is Mario Kart: Double Dash.

You should also probably look into Fuzion Frenzy (Xbox) and WWE Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain (PS2 - up to six people can play this at once if you've got two multitaps). Also, at least give Time Splitters 2 a chance. It's great.

Kung-Fu Chaos and Fuzion Frenzy are complete ass.
