So, what kind of cat do you own?
Amanda and I just got a nearly pure Maine Coon. She was really shy for a while, but she's turned out to be an absolute darling. Of course, she's also got a vicious set of claws that have turned up stuck in my feet in the middle of the night once or twice, but oh well.
I have no clue what breed any of my current cats are, but I had a beautiful white Angora cat from November of 1994 until July of 1999, when she died. I currently own a very old (about 16, at least) grey (now brown-ish) cat, a big, fat, black cat, and the daughter of the big, black cat, a tiny, shrimpy grey cat who is five and half years old, but is the size of a five day old cat, cutest thing ever.
None right now :( but I had several when I was growing up. When and if I move into a bigger place I would love to get a new kitty. I am very fond of calicos. I had two of them. :)
I have a Calico and what I think is a gray tabby. I used to have a 30lb Orange Tabby but the master of cats has long since passed away. The cats I have now lack intelligence...even for cats.

I have one male b&w Norsk Skoggkat, and another female cat of unknown origin.
My cat is of no particular breed (like most cats), he looks a lot like Morris. Really cool cat, he kicks ass.
Mine are all mixed, the Black and grey ones two were stays we took in at my old place, I think they are actually from the same mother.
The yellow one is a psycho, he acts more like a dog than anything, he gets excited when I come home every day and follows my around like a puppy. His previous owners didnt take good care of him at all and were about to take him in to have him put to sleep.

I live with a stripey step-cat. This cat is about the quirkiest pet I've ever seen. Her purr is fucked up (it sounds like a soft grunt), she sleeps on the top shelf in the pantry, sits and stares at us at random points during the day, licks pictures (photographs) on the wall, and her ear smells funny. Oh, and she loves to eat lettuce. Crazy damn thing.
My cat's pretty normal except he absolutely hates big dogs and lunges at them with the intent to kill. One time a big dog came by out in the yard and was right up by the window, my cat kept lunging at the window, fur on end, hissing like crazy, claws out, the works.
He really is a nice cat and very friendly, except for big dogs. It's really odd.
Im currently trying to find an apartment that allows for cats, so that I can finally get mine out of the vets. My roommate is deathly allergic to cats, so I cant bring him home. At any rate, he's a gargantuan black cat with long hair, a fat belly, and green eyes. Goes by the name of Mr Edwin and he talks alot and loudly.
Oh, and there's a pair of calico cats that are sisters at a local petland that need a home. I desperately want to bring em in. Hopefully they'll be there when I get a new apartment.

I posted one of my "cats" in the dog thread because he acts more like a dog... or perhaps a bear. I don't know where he gets it. I suppose he just immiates people since he wasn't raised by a cat.
This is him: Linus (it was up to me to name him and I chose Linux.. Linus is what everyone who isn't a nerd called him and it stuck).

Ive been trying to mentally prepare myself for her death for a few years now, cause she's old. It's really hard. There was a close call once - my mom said she thought she saw the cat dead o nthe side of the road but it was just a baby deer. How she got the two confused... Ill never know.

I have two cats, both female.
One is black with a few white markings. She can be friendly whenever she feels like it- sometimes when you pet her, she'll run away. Picking her up often causes her to meow in protest as if you're killing her.
The other is a gray/white stray I adopted from my back yard a few months back. Unfortunately I have to keep her in my bedroom 96% of the time because she doesn't get along at all with the other one (she'll chase that one to kingdom come and the fur will fly). The other 4% of the time, I'm holding her in my lap. The G/W is extremely friendly toward me and follows me like a dog, constantly meowing, when I come up to my room. This one purrs LOUD.

Technically these arn't mine but I moved back in with my parents and they're my Mom's. Piper is my fav, she's a total stoner :D Buffy is the definition of a sacredy cat, she rarely leaves my parent's room. Crystal is just an old bitch (14 or 15 now) with the shakes, it's rare to see her near the other two.

Hobbes is a big, short-haired black with grey swirls.
Ginger is a small, almost long haired orange skiddish cat.
And Bailey is the new, dominating, "HEY I JUST GOT A 1,000 HORSEPOWER CAR, LET US SEE HOW FAST IT CAN GO" tan cat. She hates Ginger, and Ginger hates her. She thinks she can pick on Hobbes, but he's just bigger than her. She also squeaks.
Yeah, they're pretty fucking crazy.
Technically, I guess she's 'american shorthair', but she's more like...'rulesome'
