My dad built me a little house when I was a kid, it wasn't a treehouse but it was two giant boards leaning against each other and the top was covered with carpet for some reason. He also dug a big hole with a small tunnel and put some plastic covering on the top. My spy hole didn't last long before ants got all in it.
