Hitman: Contracts announced
<img align="right" src="http://www.the-nextlevel.com/news/0312/hitman.jpg" alt="But how can you kill without a face?">Not a side story of any sort, but actually a full-fledged sequel, Eidos has revealed today Hitman: Contracts, third in the critically acclaimed, multi-million selling series.
Janos Flösser, managing director of Io Interactive says: “Hitman: Contracts will reveal a new side to Hitman. The game will be epic, highly disturbing, but most importantly an enjoyable experience. The technology we are employing will make it one of the most advanced games on the market.”
Hitman: Contracts delivers a greater variety of ways to make the perfect hit and an increased arsenal of firearms and close-combat weapons. A new graphics engine showcases Hitman’s ‘work’ in brutal detail and brings new locations to life, along with an improved control system and more gradual learning curve will ensure that the game is accessible to all aspiring hitmen.
The game begins in Paris as Agent 47 finds himself wounded and trapped in what is a dangerous situation, even for him. Contracts hopes to explore the dark psychology (Dark? Who knew!) killing for a living and promises to be the darkest, most disturbing episode in the series.
Mike McGarvey, CEO of Eidos says: “The Hitman series has massive mainstream appeal and is already well established as one of the industry’s biggest original intellectual properties. Hitman: Contracts is a sure-fire hit for 2004.”
Hitman: Contracts is being developed by series creator Io Interactive and will be hitting PlayStation 2, the Xbox, and PC in Spring 2004.
