Umm, yeah? Rogers and Bell rape their consumers with overinflatted pricing for everything they carry, especially their cable/sat packages. I could give a fuck less about my exposure to second rate CBC shows with a budget of fifty dollars. Who does the government think they are discerning which broadcasts I can/cannot listen to or view? The nazis did that, ya know. I feel that limiting my freedom in a way that isn't detrimental to anyone else is a travesty, and I can expose myself to whichever news programme/TV show I feel like. This works two fold because the majority of indie bands would be local to the station [ie Canadian], and takes away the crtuch of playing OLP/The Hip/Sum 41 in order to hit CRTC quota. Bands should be played because their good, just like shows, not because they're Canadian.
