I want some Fujikoma action...
Please play like a sequel to the first game, please play like a sequel to the first game...
*prays*
I vaguely remember Ghost In The Shell on the PSone, and I only remember how funny it was. This, however, seems to look very nice. I'll await more gameplay feedback before I get too excited, though.
given the screens, that seems highly unlikely. i mean, in that game you were fuchikoma, in this game you're the chickie. and the dude. sorry, not a GITS fan. ^_^;;Quote:

uh... what are you talking about? that was a solidly good game, certainly not bad enough to inspire humor even if you didn't like it.Quote:

I know, but I'm hoping it still plays in a similar design style and hopefully with some high-jumping Fuchikoma aspects. The inside portions of the first game could be done fairly close as a person (not that it made much sense to have Fuchikomas barging through some of those buildings like they had, but whatever), I'm just hoping this doesn't become a typical 3D action game with a license.Quote:

Looks Oni-ish...
i thought that was her name, but i wasn't sure, so i didn't bother. i'll consider caring when the TV show comes out. i didn't like the movie that much but i saw it years ago and dubbed, so i'd like to see it again (but not enough to buy it.) i'll also certainly watch innocence as well. at any rate, i may care in the future. =)Quote:

I'd recommend the manga over the movie, but I think that's usually the case anyway.Quote:

Looks rad. http://www.neomega.net/forum/images/smilies/zrock.gif
I'll buy it but I'm a Shirow/GitS whore.
Looks like there's a lot of action going around, much unlike what the movie had.
That's because it's based on Stand Alone Complex, the new series.Quote:

let's see. the notoriously wrong magic box says an anime studio is developing a game, and you assume they're right? o_OQuote:

I'm pretty sure Innocence is a follow-up to the movie. I like both the movie and the manga, and I appreciate the differences. I'd imagine by the time the first movie was being made, Mamoru Oshii was tired of cuteness in stories alltogether, having directed alot of Urusei Yatsura and the sometimes wacky Patlabor.Quote:

Piss off. I'm well aware that Magic Box is the gaming equivalent of The National Enquirer, so please drop the OMFGIMAGAMER act.Quote:

Production IG is an anime studio period. They have never done game development work, though they do a shit load of FMV for games so you'll see them pop in the credits of almost any game with an anime intro. Maybe that's what causes confusion.
All I'm getting is red xs for the pics so I can't really comment on this game.
Sony is developing this internally. http://spong.com/x?art=6005 Hmm, the character models look kinda shitty, but I'm eager to piss my money away on anything Shirow-related.
i love spong.
while i wouldn't put it past sony to change the name when the anime series is launching under the same title in the west simultaneously, spong's all-consuming ignorance and arrogance is per the usual.Quote:
