Is anyone planning on picking this game up - or has?
I think I might invest in it, it looks fun. It isn't getting the best reviews, just average. Most are saying it copies Zelda a lot but meh, it still could be fun.
I really enjoy the book, so the game should be good.
Anyone played it? What do you say?
Sierra didnt make the game, Inevitable Entertainment did, I believe. They made the Tribes port for PS2.
Which sucked.

I actually thought the Tribes port was about as good a transistion from PC to PS2 that game could have had... not that I'd ever play it on PS2, but I thought it was decent enough.Quote:

It didn't look bad from what I've seen of it, but it didn't look good, either. I'd only recommend it if you have a huge hardon for the book - RotK is probably a way better Tolkien game.
I always thought Tolkien's books would make great action RPGs, not brawlers.
Then again, that SNES game wasn't too hot, from what I've heard.

I JUST saw the subtitle for this thread... Sierra doesn't make games, they publish games. The first 4 Space Quest games were made by the Two Guys From Andromeda, whose names escape me. 5 by was one of them, 6 was by the other and some Josh guy.
The Hobbit has NOTHING, nothing, nothing to do with Space Quest. Wowie wow wow.

No, I'm saying because it is a Zelda clone... which is generally a bad move to do (IE, they don't clone it well). Zelda rocks.

Hobbit weak!? My opinion on that is entirely different. As I said, I enjoyed the book thus the interest in this title but you are right, a rental wouldn't hurt. I may do so, and most likely it is dog rubbish, but who knows sometimes 7.5-8 rated games can be a lot of fun. Here's hoping.
