That is the precise reason why I don't waste my time with imports that feature a heavy language barrier. I'd much rather play a game I could actually understand, than try to play "match the faces" while having no clue what is going on.

And I understand that there is more to the game than that, just making a broad generalization based on your comment.

No, that would not be fun. There's a translation for ST1, but they changed some things in the remake so you no longer have translations for some of the questions so you could use that as a crutch. There's a LIPS guide for it now though so that's a bit moot.

Like I said, I think this game will be unplayable to me, but since it features the cast of my favorite game of all time, I'm going to get it anyway.

If you're talking about this game, there is no U.S. release. If you mean ST 5 Ep. 0, then maybe, the most that's been said is that there is a worldwise release planned.
