The usual suspects championing the GC. I guess they are the contingency keeping the console wars "close" in the US.
Same old, same old.
Don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo, and their 1st party releases are great, but what else is there? Not enough for a successful console that DOESN'T cost $99. Its on life support and we all know it. We've had this argument 100 times before so I guess we should all just let it go.

Sex_Box > PS2 > GCN > PC > GBA
KOTOR, Skies, Links, Orta, Otogi. On the downside, XBox also had Xtreme Beach Volleyboob, but other than that it was a flush draw for MS.
Culdcept and Disgaea were the only (yes, only) games I even considered purchasing all year for the_Station. Culdcept is awesome. I've yet to shell out for Disgaea. Sixes over threes for Sony.
Wind Waker made the_Cube a must-buy. But other than that? Let's say two nines.
I haven't bought a game for my PC in years (Celeron 400...go ahead and laugh...I do...*sniff*). Still, Rise of Nations and Call of Duty are good games. Queen high.
GBA? I think I've played these games b/4, yes? That's right, in the early 90's on my Genesis/SNES. *yawn* Until FF:CC gets here, I'll keep folding my GBA hand.

DoAX is the game that finally made me break down and buy an XBOX, alongside XBOXLive. It's an addictive blend of mini-games, shopping, gambling, quick sports action and collecting. Kinda like a Rare game except with a lot more cleavage. It rules, get over yourself.
Besides, if you really want to pretend like you know what you're talking about, you mention Blinx when it comes to bad XBOX exclusives.

It's been 10 years since I played the system, or rented EWJ for it. I sold my Sega CD about 10 years ago with titles like Snatcher :( , Lunar, Vay, Prize Fighter, F-14 Tomcat, Dark Wizard, Thunder Hawk, Soul..(?), Dragon's Lair, Cobra Command, Sewer Shark and Sonic CD. I wish I still had the system, but have picked up a few titles on the cheap, with hopes of buying a CDX or another Sega Cd in the near future.
The little system that could have killed me with load times, maybe.
I like it, too.
I've never had a Sega CD, nor have I ever played anything on one. Now I'm tempted to hunt eBay.

And Xbox is easily the console of the year, the PS2's lineup was a bit disappointing, and the Gamecube's was pretty good, but the Xbox surprised me with games like Panzer, KOTOR, PGR2, Crimson Skies, even [probably especially] CvSNK ported to the Xbox in a better suit then for the GC. not mentionning that the BoX is going to have an excellent 2004, what with Halo II, True Fantasy , Fable, Ninja Gaiden and if we're very lucky Jade Empire, that's already pretty completed so far.Quote:

Gamecube and GBA tied for FIRST :D (Convenient since you can play both on GC :-) If you count GC and GBA as one system, it easily crushes everything else :D

Xbox barely registers at an extremely distant third (unless you WORSHIP Fpss or Team FPSs or going online - stay FAR away ;)

I use the Pro-Action Replay 4 in 1 (5 in one as some like to call it) and it works fine with imports. It supports all 4Meg RAM cart games like Vampire Savior and you can use the Japanese 4 Meg RAM cart on US games like Marvel Super Heroes.

PS2 has a good number I want to play.
The Xbox has exactly 2 games I want to play (these are EXCLUSIVE Xbox games since I can get the nonexclusive ones on PS2 or GC :-D (and use a better controller too;-) - Xbox controller sucks)
the 2 games are: Panzer Dragoon Orta and KOTOR.
Course I cant REALLY even count KOTOR cause I certainly dont want it damaging my Xbox like it has done to so many others X-P
That leaves ONE game on Xbox I really want to play ;) Is it any wonder I put it in last place? :D
(please keep in mind, I am NOT a big fan of FPSs, team FPSs, drving games, or other "mature" games, of which there are a LOT on Xbox - after all see my sig ;)

Going by that logic the PS2 also counts as having all the games the PS has and the only genre that collection of systems doesn't excel in large numbers in is 2D platformers. Which means you either only enjoy playing 2D platformers and nothing else or you just hate games.Quote:

The Cube had a great price, lots of cheap software (Def Jam Vendetta and Beyond Good and Evil are both 20 bucks at EB right now), and a smattering of great exclusives (Viewtiful Joe anyone?). But what really threw it over the top for me was that the Cube was the system with the most co-op games and/or games that can be played with instead of always against someone (Like Animal Crossing, but I think that came out last year.).
MK DD had the sweet co-op, Mario Party games are the kinda games you can play with the girlfriends family, the GB player brings new life to stuff like Wario Ware, and Viewtiful Joe was simply GOTY.

They all had kinda crappy years. Xbox had stuff, but not stuff that I care about. Cube had a decent lineup with ToS, VJ, Billy, F-Zero. So did PS2 I guess, but it was so much worse than 2002 it's hard to give credit. At least it had SC5-2. GBA had nothing but RPGs, and I really have no intrest in playing RPGs on a handheld, so despite alot of quality, it's in the wrong place.
