The top 100 games of TNL *temporarily on hold*

River City Ransom (NES) = Dammit, since somebody mentioned Battletoads, then RCR might deserve to be on the list even moreso.

Fire Emblem (GBA) = Best SRPG ever!

Metal Gear Solid (PS) = Can't make a list without including a Metal Gear game.

Resident Evil (GameCube) = I didn't care much about the series lately as much as I used to, but I was pleasantly surprised on how good the REmake was after getting it recently. Makes me want to look forward to RE4.

I was tempted to include imports, but I decided to remain with domestic titles people are more familiar with. Otherwise, I would've included Policenauts instead of MGS and Fire Emblem 3 (SNES) than either of the GBA games.

I suggest you play Herzog Zwie. A lot of people never played the game, but I can say this, it's a much better game than C&C or War Craft III.

I don't know if that's saying much. Herzog Zwei is cool, but it gets by on its novelty, I think, not on the fact that it's a great game. Herzog Zwei is not a game I would ever pick up now.

Conker's Bad Fur Day - N64 - MDK2 and Gunvalkyrie are both semi-similar but better.

Final Fight – Arcade - Streets of Rage 2 is better than this.

Guilty Gear XX #Reload - Playstation 2 - you actually think we need two GGs?

Guwange - Arcade - this seems like a hard one to include, since hardly anyone's played it. I haven't played it, and I love Saturn Raizing games as much as anyone I know.

Project Justice - Dreamcast - heh, come on, this game is cool but not at the level of the rest of the games on this list

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Genesis - 2 Sonics?

Street Fighter II: Champion Edition - Arcade (CPS-1) vs Hyper Fighting?
Street Fighter Alpha 3 – Arcade
Street Fighter 3: Third Strike - Dreamcast

..I suggest the list be broken down into genre. This would facilitate any debate as well, as it will be easier to compare the merits of a game when the gameplay mechanics and objectives are similar. As well, it should offer up some interesting debate as to what genre a particular game may be classified as.
