At the holidays, I have obtained Napple Tale from my parents for the Christmas. Heard it was nifty, wanted to give it a shot. I used my usual Utopia v1.1 to boot it, and the game's menu doesn't load after I press start (Utopia 1.2 doesn't work, either). I also have a copy of Sengoku Turb that won't boot. I'm guessing both of these problems are due to my boot disc, though I could be wrong. Does the DC-X work better than Utopia?
DC-X is the best, yes. They're all pretty effective though. Only found a handful of games that have trouble with any of them.I generally use Utopia because it loads fastest, but I keep a GameShark CD-X on hand for when it doesn't.
The GameShark loads imports, as well. :)
Yeah, but GameSharks are for OMFG n00Bs, so I never got one.

I remember getting my GameShark back in the day because it was the first DC import bootdisk that I had heard of. Plus, it you could use it as an extra memory card. :)Quote:

DC-X kicks all kinds of ass, but I think there was something similar that is free. It isn't Utopia... Hmmmm...
There's the Gameshark CD-X, and the Innovation disk, but that was just a liscensed DC-X clone.Quote:

Cheats and codes disc is alot cheaper and seemed to work well.
