Today at MacWorld Apple announced a new iPod. Called the iPod mini, it will hold 4gb, be smaller in size (about the size of a business card, and less thick), and it comes in 5 different colors (pastels). The pricing? 250$
What a bunch of shit, they even raised their 10gb ipod to 15gb for the same price. Their iPod minis aren't even competitive towards their own iPods. Oh well, at least their 300$ iPod is much more worth it now.
Damn, that is a dissapointment... I was looking forward to a 2 gig iPod for $100.

I guess Apple couldn't tear themselves away from the diesel profit margins theyre getting on iPods.
But this thing seems more like a rich man's toy than anything else... $250 for a 4gig pastel mini-iPod or for a 15gig white iPod?

When you think of MP3 players, you think of the iPod. Yeah, there are alternatives, but none are as seamless as the iPod. iTMS is the best service out there and the iPod works on Windows and Mac.
Generally, people do not want to pay a flat monthly fee to download music that they cannot keep. They either want to go the illegal route or they want to pay per song.
I don't think the $250 price tag was a good idea, though.
