I'm still in mexico here, I´ve got lots of video I would like to edit when I get back home. Besides the usual video editing I would like to:
Gracias. :chunobi:
- Add audio commentary
- "Fuzz" out people´s faces
- Add text to the video

Best? Probably Adobe Premier. If you're wanting to do some simple video editting, you can always try virtualdub.
PC user: Adobe Premier
Mac user: Final Cut Pro
Experienced PC/Mac user: AvidXpress Pro
Avid = King of this thing. Expensive HW and SW.
I would go with Final Cut Pro. Both Premier and FCP were confusing to me, but FCP was a bit less confusing. If you didn't need to fuzz out people's faces, you could use plain old iMovie on the Mac. I don't know what the free PC equivalent of iMovie is, though.
Windows Movie Maker 2, but, as you'd expect from anything in which Microsoft is trying to copy Apple, its not nearly as good as iMovie.Quote:

If you have a Mac there's no reason you shouldn't be using Final Cut Pro, or even Final Cut Express, but if you're on a PC, you'll probably be stuck with Premiere, which isn't exactly a bad thing. What's especially good about that is that it's incredibly easy to find if you're looking to "borrow" it. For educational purposes, of course.
Final Cut Pro.
Premiere is ok. I use it sometimes, but only if I HAVE to on a PC. PC's generally aren't the best for video editing. Macs are miles ahead, but either way - those are my 2 choices for software preferences on either.
Pretty much any video editing software is similar to every other one, so just go with the big names I suppose.
