if Tarantino is so big on BR, why doesn't he just try to get some leverage to bring it over? it might not at all be feasible, but it's something i think could happen. he just can't slap his name on the cover like he did with the Iron Monkey.

I can fully understand BRII never being licensed (there's at least two anti-America conversation/speeches and it opens with a scene extremely reminiscent of the WTC falling) but why not BR? I would normally think, "OK, that's understandable," but Ichi the freaking Killer just got released. Eh, whatever, at least I already have my copy.

Suicide Club was released too and that wasn't all that handy dandy nice and whimsically clean. i've already got my copy BR too, but i'd still like to see it brought out. the starmax subs really are less than desireable. :\ Toei should see that we're open minded about these things too!

but y'see americans blame EVERYTHING for their own stupid actions, so they think a film full of schoolkids would give other idiots ideas... not to mention that families of kids shot up at school could sue the film studio for 'mental anguish'.

see worst we get over here is kids beating each other up at school... and if they're asked a reason why they did it it's usually "he called my mum a slapper" and not "marilyn manson, jesus, doom and jay leno said to.."
