no way...thats pretty cool.
Sorry to heard you guys are not/don't like it.
That's pretty funny, Bandai makes a offline RPG that plays like an online one... where Capcom makes an online Resident Evil that plays like an offline game, they really should've put more time and thought into this game, it's a shame cause it could've been a good online game if they did :\
Bummer.
REOutbreak is the cover story of this months PSM, and the article in there was very encouraging. Shame you guys seem to hate it.
From IGN:
It's obvious that you'd have to play it online but doing this in the U.S. would kind of suck, if the HDD is required to play it. No chance of buying the game alone (although downloadable scenarios would be an incentive to get the drive).Quote:
Some shocking news from Capcom: The company revealed today that the Japanese version of Resident Evil Outbreak, the first online entry in the Resident Evil series, cannot be fully completed without going online.
Apparently, playing the game offline only allows for a 96% completion rate in one of the latter scenarios. To get 100%, players will have to play the scenario through an all new mode, scheduled to be made available for download towards the end of this month. Specifics, like an exact date for the mode's availability and the exact nature of the mode itself, will be revealed later.
It's unclear if Capcom will attempt something similar with the game's American release.
Yea the HD will really come in handy if they have more sentences downloadable for the charachters. =p
As much as the some here have stated their dislike for the online play, I couldn't imagine playing it offline, at least primarily. The levels are designed with multi-player in mind and that is the true appeal of the game.
BTW I completed the Beta the other night with two other player who knew what they were doing, and all three of us played together as a team. Working together is the only way to get anywhere, and it when it clicks, the game is VERY satisfying. I can understand the frustration of playing with individuals who think they can do it themselves, because I played with MANY of those people before finishing it, and it can be very frustrating.
i hope "don't shoot! i'm a huuuumaaan." is one of them.Quote:

Not to mention other great lines that could be added like:

"I sure hope this isn't (insert name)'s blood!"
Woah! You were almost a (insert name)-sandwich!"
"Well, I think I'll go out and get some fresh air for a change."
