But are those places convenient for others to get there?
Reason being, some dont know how to get there. So if its a well known place and mass transit is there, it would be more convenient for others to meet at one spot, and than head elsewhere.

penn station is the way to go, then.
Sorry, I thought you were in on the joke. I should be thankful that you don't know what Christopher Street is...Quote:

That's just funny.
Hey, I just know Christopher Street is homo heaven. I'm not familiar with the actual establishments there like epmode appears to be... ;)
completely. what, you don't want to go to a bar called the ruby fruit?Quote:

True. But I rather see lesbians get it on..than 2 guys. I'll take whatever I can get.Quote:

Hey, if any of you guys feel like heading down to a show tomorrow you can stop by 40th street to watch some bands play. It'll start at 6:30 p.m. and there are like 6 bands playing. It's in a church but I forgot the exact location. It'll be fun. :)
Wait, when you say bands, what kinds are you talking about? Rock bands? Jazz bands? In a church?
I wish I could go, but I have to go upstate this weekend.
Didn't know my fellow New Yorkers here were such fruitcakes... I figure the Jersey dudes where, but not my NY brothers..or should I say "sisters"? :D
It's rock/punk show.
...or, we could all go to TriCounty Flea Market in Levittown and play Freeplay DDR tomorrow morning!
...or...or not!
Any of you been to web2zone? It's a gaming cafe with multiple LANs, Xbox Live and PS2 online games on widescreen TVs. It'd be a sweet place to meet or stop off at. It's about a block and a half away from the Gamestop by NYU. There's an America's Army thing going on there tomorrow, apparently with food 'n giveaways 'n shit.
anyone want to hang out on the 25th of this month here at Double Ds in Morristown NJ my friends band is playing in some contest at it and its huge for them so im trying to get as many people to go as can
i think you need to be 21 to get in though not sure
That sounds interesting, if only my age wasn't a problem, and my birthday was the day after. I'll have a party of my own, but we should all try something in the summer too, makes it easier on the students. ;)
I was thinking about bumping this thread...it's getting warmer out now, let's all try to set something up.
it's not getting warmer. stop gassing yourself. :(
It's warmer than it was in January when I started this thread, beeyoch.
And I like gassing myself. Everyone likes their own brand.
i hated January. no one remembered my birthday.
the weather feels just the same. only warmer. OMGSHUTUP!!! i think end of May would be the best time to get this ball rolling. not too cold, not too hot, not very rainy. the chicks are wearing tight fitting short-sleeved shirts that accentuate their breasteses...
BOOBERS!!!!!!!Quote:

I'm definately still in for it, haven't been to the city in a while :)
yuss
Can't we wait til school's over and I have a driver's license? :(
It's really up to all to make up the decision. It has to be a time where we can all meet up at a certain spot. Hopefully it happens around May because my college lets out then.
And where is everyone?
I suggested sometime in May or June as everyone is out from school and its warmer.
Yeah that seems good enough. I just hope the others who also had an interest in meeting up also come back in here and give their suggestions.
Ack...this is what I get for not posting this weekend. Anyway, I'm all over this. As long as I know the date and time, I'll be there.
Okay, the weather is all nice an' warm and school's almost out. Let's get back to planning this bitch.
I ressurected this thread millions of times. I hope this time it succeeds.
I'm down. Y'all really should join me for some steamed dumplings in Chinatown...
I'll be working from Mondays to Thursdays every week, and I'm sure it's the same for a lot of you. The best days for me would probably be Saturday or Sunday. I can go anywhere on the island or the city.
It's doomed to failure.Quote:

Just say date and time. I'm seeing that the weekend is the best time so lets do it.
For anyone in the city tonight; Stiffed is playing a show at Sin-é. My roommate is on guitar. The're really good.
He told me the show's free. They need lots of adoring fans to show up and cheer and make them look even more impressive for the record company people.
Mini NY TNL get-together. Probably not. But check 'em out if you can.

Sounds good, now all we need is a date.
Awesome. Plan is a go-go
I still say we should all go to TriCounty and play some GGXX, Garou, DDR, and Metal Slug 5.
...PeeVee's plans sound cool, too.
where is tricounty?
i always figured itd be easy to get to the Chinatown fair and play some games there
hit up some import shops
beat up some random strangers
buy some crack or heroine
you know the usual things you do with a large group of people in NYC
Tri-County is on the Island, in Nassau county. Chinatown Fair is a good, if not a little crowded/cluttered at times. But Chinatown is a cool place nonetheless.
Make it a weekend and Im likely to attend.
Any ideas what we would all do? Hopefully something else then gaming, but a couple games would be cool too.
You and Chao have an unhealthy facination with that flea market.Quote:

Days like today.
Let's get this straight: That Flea Market is good for three things: 1) Arcade 2) Magic Cards, Baseball cards, etc. 3) The game stand that occassionally has something pretty damn rare. Occasionally.
Otherwise, I hate the rest of it.
...like that pickle stand.
Yikes.
I would go there all the time when I was younger during my Magic: The Gathering phase. I've also been going to the arcade in its basement since close to its birth. Since then it's grown into a powerhouse, and it's cool to see how far its come.Quote:

thats always fun
P.S. Fuck andy warhol !
Yeah, they do have the occasional hard-to-find game there. Actually, the next time you're there, check to see if they have a copy of Rhapsody...I've been looking for it for, like, forever.Quote:

Man, the smell that place gives off...ugh.
Actually, I was at Tri-County the other day...I bought a Swiss Army knife at the knice place there.

thats what i plan on doing ?
Ill confirm by next friday.
johnpv: i'm not sure if i'm going to go, but i'll be on the path if i do.
Epmode let me know, if you do go well meet up at the path
i know theres alot of NJ TNLers id guess most will probably take the path in?
what times would be good for people on a Saturday, for me it would have to be after 12, i have aikido in the morning
Id figure meeting in the city at like 2 - 3 would be good not to early not to late
any thoughts?
I'm not too sure about June 5th. I'll look into it and let you guys know in the next few days.
Later June might be better for me, and since I started this thread you bitches can't do this without me. :p
I'll be taking the PATH in the city. June 5th sounds good but I'll wait until confirmation until I make plans solid.
June 26th pwns. Make it June 26th. :p
I'll see you guys on June 26th I'm going to cosplay as my favorite character from Dragon Ball Z, try to guess which one is me
aw, banned already? i wanted to know which one.
there's a very good chance I'll actually be in NY the week of June 14. Nintendo is having a press event to showcase their upcoming lineup including the Nintendo DS. but when that's all done...I'll planning to hit Chinatown Fair and play some SF and maybe even eat Chinese food at one of the restaurants around Elizabeth St.
I'll confirm within the next week or so once I am definitely certain of my plans.
awesome. bahn's going to get us all in to the Nintendo press event for the get together. ;)Quote:

Not really, I really don't drink that much to be honest... not since I got really trashed one New Years Eve a while back :pQuote:

I was sick for almost a week.
5th is bad, but possible. 26th sounds best to me. 15th should work too.
ok so the 5th is out
I can tell you the only day bad for me in June is the 19th because its my nephews HS graduation party so i cant miss that
but any other day is a go
I'll probably show up for either one, depending on whether or not age is a factor in the goings ons. I'll be 17 for the latter date, 16 for the former, and I won't have to use public transportation to get to Manhatten on the 26th, but will on the 15th. :p
I'm in NJ now, but the longer this waits the less likely I'll be around.
But we've already met.Quote:

everyone seems to love the 26th
is that the day then?
We need to set a date and meeting place, I would be arriving at Grand Central Station by train to NYC.
Weekends are best for me, if it is any other day I need to know in advance and ask for it off... but I would rather go on a Saturday if possible :)

The 26th, 2PM, at the newsstand/bookstore by the escalators leading up to 7th Ave.
I'd say outside on the steps of MSG, but that's always crowded. A specific spot is better, especially since many of us don't know what we look like. Well, none of you know what I look like, anyway...
The north jersey folk will die upon seeing seaside traffic at this time of the year.Quote:

So if we go on the 26th and seeing it's my birthday, can I pick a place to eat?... I want to go HERE :D
im for that menu didnt look too bad and alot cheaper then i would have thought
*is broke and unemployed right now*
Despite the fact that you were making LOOK I AM A WOLF comment #7583490 that place is actually really neat.Quote:

No parking for me...I'm just hopping on the LIRR.
And The Slaughtered Lamb looks great...I'm down with going.
