Koei's "Dynasty Warriors in Space" action-RPG series is switching systems for the sequel - I'd imagine for sales purposes.

The PS2 sequel will have new playable characters besides Sho, as well as multiplayer, including co-op. The screens look pretty good, but it's hard to tell how the PS2 will handle the swarms of enemies, especially on a split screen. I suppose the enemy count will be toned down, or something.

The original is one of my favorite Xbox games. As long as the inventive mission designs of the first game return - along with the silly story - I'll be happy.

The original would have been a beter game if it implemented an old-school 1-hit-kill mentality for the enemies instead of carrying over the crappy Dynasty Warriors combo gameplay.

The sequal looks decent enough, but I have no desire to play it. Sucks for the shafted Xbox fans.

You damned right! I never would have dreamed that this game would get a sequel, but hot damn am I happy!

The first is amazing, but this PS2 crap has me a bit worried.

I couldn't get past the crappy characters in the first. Ultimately it's nothing that couldn't be done on the PS2 in anycase. Maybe this next one won't have embarrasing voices and dubbing and won't have that fuckface kid in it.

With no bump-mapping this is going to look bland compared to the original. I'll wait for the reviews on this.

Being a big fan of Dynasty Warriors, I tried to like CS, I really did, but the control and camera aggravated the hell out of me. So...meh.

We just got in a new trailer VHS today at work, and Crimson Sea 2 is on it.

What they've done with the Neo-Psyonics looks freaking amazing. Sho is pictured during a piece of actual gameplay jumping into the air, and totally going nucking futs on the creatures below him by levitating and shooting blue energy beams out of his hands over and over and over and over . . .

It really has to been seen to believe. Shomi looks to be playable in this one as well. The monsters are much, much bigger this time around (which I'm sure gives them an excuse not to have so many on the screen at the same time :p ), and the combo system looks to be much improved upon, as you can begin a combo with the blaster, switch it up to hit a few times with the blade, and then ice the cake with some Neo-Psyonics. That's right. Neo-Psyonics combo possabilities!

The PS2 bit had me worried, but after seeing the game in motion, my fears have disolved. It's coming out the very last day this month, and I'll be there when it does.

I really enjoyed the first one on Xbox as well. Never did beat the final level though, really should do that but some of the bosses really fuck me over in that last stage. I will pick this sequal up eventually but not day one as I don't see it fitting into the cards yet, plus I expect it to drop in price by the time I am ready for it anyways.

We stll need to finish the original :) It was decent game though, and good to hear that the sequel coming along nicely.

I will make sure to rent it someday.
