I was just interested in the reasons people have certain games as their most played: stage in life, monetary reasons, etc.Quote:

- Marvel vs. Capcom 2 By far, the most played.
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night I just played it over and over, trying to level up after I had already beaten the game.
- Street Fighter Alpha 3 Spent hours trying to perfect Guy combos.
- Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker I played for eight hours a day, for over a month straight (testing).
- Twisted Metal III The most hated--and still the best--Twisted Metal game.
- Crash Team Racing Easily the best cart racer ever.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Arcade Actually played the NES version most--it was the only NES game I had other than Mario for a really long time.
- Guilty Gear Friends and I played the original Guilty Gear tons, which I blame for me hating the new games.
- Halo Friends and I played every weekend for about two years straight. Yeah.
Nothing else comes close to how much I played these.
Asheron's Call... over 6 months of my life was spent on that shit.... over a span of over 3 years, yikes, what a total waste of time, I will probably never play another MMORPG (aka digital crack) ever again
The Sonics on Genny, Mario All-Stars, Mario World and Yoshi's Island I played a ton of when I was younger. They were the first games I ever bought new and I got my money's worth. Before them I had mostly just played odd and end used games I got from the video store.
More recently: PSO I was totally addicted to. I played a ton of Animal Crossing, and got my mom, sister, and her boyfriend all very into it. Good times were had by all and likely will be had again. The number of hours I've played Halo must be incredibly high and that'll keep growing so long as people keep coming to Halo nights :).

Gyruss - The first time I played it, I was hooked forever. I've played it about once a week in arcades since its release, and I've never gotten tired of it.

Tennis 2K2 - Since its DC release, friends & I have played four-player doubles every couple weeks. I've worn out two copies. The best party game ever.
Soul Calibur - See above, except I've worn out only one.
Burnout 2 - Probably the single-player console game I've spent the most time with. Still not bored...not close. I keep inventing new challenges for myself, and the game keeps delivering. I am a sick person who owns it for all three systems, but the XB's custom soundtrack makes it my favorite.
Intelligent Qube - The first PSone game I owned. I've played it a couple times every week since its release.
Vagrant Story - I usually hate RPGs, but when I picked this up on a total whim I played nothing else until over 100 game-hours later. Dammit, where's my sequel, Square-nix?
Devil Dice - Many hours spent, and I'm still not that good at it, but it's so freakin fun I don't care. The US release of Bombastic was a true blessing for me.

I've tried, but I still fail to see how people get hooked like that. I played in the AC beta, and I played until the very end. I played a LOT, too. Had a really good time. But when it ended and I'd be forced to pay monthly to keep playing, I decided to bail. Maybe FFXI will hook me when I finally try it.Quote:

- THSP series (psx, DC & PS2) - same as Civ, once the new one comes out I leave it behind for the next. They get better and better each time.
- Dragon Force (sat) - I know I've been through it at least twice with each general maybe more with a few of 'em
- Suikoden 2 (psx) - Working on my 6th time though, played it more than any other 1 RPG.
- Gradius 3 (snes, arcade & PS2) - Not a year goes by without me putting in a ton of time on the greatest shooter of all time.
