A Hidden DC shooter?!?

www.insertcredit.com mentioned a number of DC games on sale at Play Asia, including a Date sim by Hudson/Red called Kita He, which according to their description:

"contains Hudson/Red's only serious 2D shooter in the last six years,"


Is this true? Anyone ever play this shooter or have any info on it? *-neo

*EDIT*Clarified a bit. Apparently it's a mini game you get by using a UFO (prize) grabber machine. From a Gamefaq:

"Guardian Wing (Shooting Game)
Press the A button to shoot down the enemies. You must shoot down all
the enemies to gain back time."

Doesn't sound too amazing... *-neo

i actually read that on insert credit also and looked into it, but as you found, it's not exactly a 'serious' 2D shooter..

poor choice of words on IC's part.

I have two copies of that game. Anyone want one of them?

I'm sure the line on insert credit was meant as a joke. It's an okay shooter, but nothing worth mentioning. There's also a galaga style shooter in the ST fan disc.

I have Photo Memories. :)

It's great because I love the art from the games and now I can view them without actually playing the game. The only thing that stinks is to unlock all of the concept art you actually need to play the new game it comes with and I'm much too lazy for that. The karoke songs are nice to play in the background when you're doing something else too.

Anyone have any more impressions of White Illumination? I saw
it for sale the other day? What's a good price? In the FAQ it
mentions other Aracde games besides the shooter, any other
good mini games involved?

I paid $5.00 for mine, brand new.

My curiosity got the best of me and I picked this up at a local store.

Gaurdian Wing surprised me as I thought it would be something along the line of SPace Invaders, instead it's an overheard scrolling game and eneimies fly quick as do the bullets, once you get hit your done. There seems to be a Boss which I have beaten but I don't know how far it goes or loops, but a nice-mini game. It was cool to walk up on it in the Arcade. Music for this stage is good to as is the ship design. Better visuals than I thought too. Still only a diverson.

I also had a fun time with the UFO Catcher trying to get prizes.

The Kareokee games were a blast too, they go so darn fast but the two songs I heard were pretty catchy.

There also are some mini-maze, and cow milking game too which I had yet to discover. This reminds me of Shenmue only in the sense that you get lost in the mini-games.
