I can't believe it has been a whole year since GameGO! began, but it is the truth... Pitch told me so ;)
I still remember that faithful day that I discovered GameGO!, it was a lovely Monday morning on March 19, 2001 and while I was browsing Video Game Depot I happened to see it, a game magazine like no other, one that covers old school and imports... I said to myself this is for me and so I subscribed without hesitation. I also registered to the boards later that day… but believe it or not Werewolf wasn’t the first name I registered, SSGokouL3 was even if I never used that one, I decided I liked Werewolf much better and I still have it till this day :D
GameGO! Was really the first board I ever joined, I seen other boards and frankly they where just filled with garbage and off topic bad language topics (I was unaware of TNL at that time), GameGO! Boards where filled with gamers who actually knew something about games and loved to talk about them… common sense one would think unless of coarse you seen the other crap out there
I not only loved the board but the guys who ran it where great too, the gone but not forgotten ECM, Haohmaru the president who could be the man, Nick who was always there to help a new guy out and the many others who made GameGO! what it was. GameGO! may be gone but it is far from forgotten :)

what a year.
gamego! helped me become much more serious about gaming. without it, i may have never experienced the worlds of the turbo duo or the neo geo. gamego! made me a better gamer. may it never be forgotten.

wow, a year allready... I remember when I first found GameGo! I was so overjoyed that I could have a good magazine to read again. And I started posting as KRSking with my Sepiroth avatar.... Things change though, names, forums and even posters themselves. Been a great ride I don't hoe to get off.

forgive the shortness of the post, I just had finger surgery and it's hard to type

Ah, memories. Being one of the people who registered at GO! from almost the very beginning, I must say it was a wild ride.

I'm serious about someone being cool enough to make me a hard copy of GameGO! #2. I'll pay for it.
Anyway, The boards were super cool. That link to the webarchive that Pitch posted was great. The thing that sucks is that you cant read many of the threads. All those old avatars and sigs. Man. it's so weird to feel nostalgic about something that wasn't even that long ago.

Let us not forget the past, for the past will be crucial in relations of the future. Our nostalgic trips to the "once-wonderful-was" will forever be our road to happiness.
So, as we move forward and seperate, let us look back upon that time, and be glad that it was what it was, and not worry about what it never became.

Sigh.... I remember when I said I'd not come back until I had remastered my art drawings... But, go figure, I have not drawn anything in the past six months that I didn't throw in the trash.
Maybe I am making a liar out of myself, but it feels good to be back to say hi, even if it is just a visit.
If Sega can be reborn, so can I... Just have to find myself... Somewhere...
