I just got three posters (two already in frames) from my mother's work place and they look fantastic. Question is, are there places that take pictures and make them into posters (and if so... where?) and will those places make posters out of copyrighted stuff (i.e. video game materials).
Kinkos maybe? I dunno.
They have problems with copyrighted material. Unless, of course, you're friends with someone who works there or you get a job there yourself.Quote:

I'll agree, though, that if you even have remote connections to anyone working in the business it wont be too hard. Ask really nice, you know? It can't hurt.
I've taken stuff to Kinko's and printed it out on a color copier. You can set the copier to blow it up pretty big (well, up to 11x17 paper, anyway) when it prints it with no real loss of image quality. I've made some decent little posters like this.
JeffMcC made me some awesome 11x16 prints. I'm not sure where he printed them out but they're beautiful once you frame and hang them.
I wouldnt mind getting 1-3 frames. How much do they usually run for? And where to get for a reasonable price?
That Gunstar poster is fucking KING. I need one. I need one SO BAD.

Jealousy. That Ikaruga poster is quite nice...friend of mine has a similar Radiant Silvergun one, but it's horizontalish and metallic.
I'd actually try to think of some way to display this...if it were not like, 11 feet tall.

the silvergun poster isn't metallic, but it is nice. i think you were getting it confused with the MGS poster that used to be up near it @ gamers.com in the old days.

My KOTOR, Marvel v SF and imported JPN Xbox Soul Calibur 2 posters.
KOTOR is cool b/c, just like an actual movie poster, it says it 'stars' Bastila Shan, Carth, Mission Vao, and 'introducing' Darth Malak. Very pimp.
The Marvel/SF poster has some great anime takes on Marvel characters. I really like Wolvie gearing up right in the middle. No Cammy, but I'll take a classic Cap.
The Japanese promo poster for SC2 on Xbox is my fav. Talim? Yes, please.
Also, my Shi Tiger Baby poster (6 ft by 2 ft). It's just the actual picture w/the blue background, not the signature stuff.
And my French promo of Gladiator. You can't see it here but the text is in French. Easily the most interesting Gladiator poster I've ever seen. Maximus w/shield, kneeling, planting his sword in the ground. Nice shots of the countryside/city in the background on the left. On the right, tho you can't see it w/this resolution, are his troops from the Black Forest, arranged for battle. IMHO, waaaay more effective at conveying what the movie was really all about...

uh....I don't have any pics, but as far as posters go I have too many. Suikoden 3, FFX-2 (bleh), Kingdom hearts, metal slug 4 and KOF2001 posters from e3, DMC2, shiny Rygar and DOAX(i havent framed this one, but i plan to eventually), random Transformers and GI Joe ones, and a LOTR poster. I've got this crazy ass FF7 wallscroll that a friend gave to me. It has all these squares on it with completely random characters. Cloud, cloud, Aerith, Tifa, small barrett, and a chocobo :wtf: I like it because it's so weird.
I want a Disgaea one, I'll buy it off ebay one of these days.
While it's not a poster, I have a twin bed-sized sheet of Xenosaga that's hanging on the wall in my loft. I'll get a picture of itup at some point.
The disturbing part is that it came with a body pillow pillowcase...that had Momo on it :wtf:
I've also got a couple of side art stickers from arcade games...one from Marvel Super Heroes and one from Xmen vs SF. I really like the picture of Magneto from the XSF one.
This is about half of my computer rooms wall. It's where anything and everything I come across gets put on the wall, since I have long worked at a game store there's alot of stuff from there. Some of it dating back to old Funcoland permanet store materials.

Tracer, I want that Dreamcast lettering... Very impressive. My five posters are quite ashamed now.
The Dreamcast sign was the one Funcoland used to use to place over its Dreamcast section. When Gamestop took over those signs were tossed. I have Nintendo and Playstation ones as well but no place to put them.
My house! C'mon, I'll take them. :D
Heh.. I wouldn't know how to ship them really. The Playstation one, when stood up is taller than me (more than 6 ft.).

I seriously lack anything cool as far as game decoration goes. I had a few posters which I sold because I'm in a pit for cash right now, and I moved around and they didn't work in my room any longer. Now I can have stuff, but I lack the means and funding (and shipping methods) to obtain such. Boo.
Charm free stuff from the gamestore clerks. They can hook you up.
I've tried... Only worked when an independent store was going out of business/relocating. EB has never given me anything. They don't quite like me there, it seems. Probably because I never buy anything.

i've bought lots of posters like this from them at cons (not this specific one -- i got it off of a coworker at gamers.com.) they do try to special order/find stuff for you too. i dunno how that works for posters.
