They should make one for Osama Bin Laden with "New York, New York" playing in the background.
This would probably be my favorite, with the Bush "TOP GUN" coming in a close second.
i loved it. g0zen, have a link to the top gun thing you mentionned?
Im just glad its not another "Im leaving TNL Ihateyoubyebye" posts.
Here you go!Quote:

Wow! That WMD one was just, wow.Quote:

And for fuck's sake, show me some damn sources. It's great to put up pictures of mangled babies but show me the sources and show me that they are indeed from Iraq.
This is sensationalist bullshit designed to shock instead of inform, just like anti-abortion crazies who put up huge pictures of babies all fucked up from abortion.
That's something I will definitely agree with. Now, I am in no way in support of abortion - it's a subject that doesn't warrant a discussion at the moment, so just work with me for now. However, it still sickens me to see people on my side of the issue know so LITTLE about the issue itself. Whether by religion, peer pressure, or family tradition, I have the suspicion that many people don't know half of what they should on any particular agenda for them to have their opinions count.Quote:

At the end of the flash movie theres a line of text that says "MORE INFO" it will take you to this site.Quote:

Hardly, people are actually outraged about abortion in this country. Meanwhile, they know next to nothing and care even less about the horrors we're causing to unborn children across the world.Quote:

I was thinking it was something like that as well.Quote:

That's how the military works.
It does not however, mean any of it is used. For example, you didnt see the US unleashing anthrax over Moscow or anything, but we sure could have. And out of the tens of thousands of nuclear weapons developed over the past 50 years, how many were used? 2.
As for that whole... "Bush thinks more nukes mean more security"... whatever, Im not Bush, I cant dig into his head. It's conjecture, plain and simple.
They referenced the end of the Cold War as like, the last time a new type of nuclear weapon was developed (so, like, 15 years ago? So Jimmy Carter, JFK, and those other enlightened leaders who knew how awful "the horrors of the bastard child of science and war" were around while new nukes were developed?). Unfortunately this whole War on Terrorism is going to be another long-term, drawn-out thing not unlike the Cold War, because terrorism certainly isn't going to go away this November after the Presidential Election.
Please, Gibbits! This is FUD. It's not hard to see.
I wasnt refering to that, glad you didn't assume I was either. I just think its fucking rediculous... I think we have enough nukes don't you? Whats the point of wasting taxpayer money on a nuke you'll never use?Quote:

Okay, here is ONE way I could see a weapon like this being used.
The FBI/CIA/whoever else has no idea where Osama Bin Laden is exactly at any point. They can usually narrow it down to a specific radius, though, like he is in this 10-mile radius sitting in some cave. But really considering the sparsely-populated and super cavey networks in Afghanistan, how can we be sure which cave he is in?
See what Im saying? You find out a time when you have a location you know he is within one mile of, and you drop one of those suckers down. Kills him, doesnt affect the population because it's in the middle of nowhere, doesn't get in the water supply because water is nonexistant.
Anyway, as I see it, the military said, "look, Bushie, we need something to really wack that son-of-a-bitch, and just trying to figure out exactly what cave he is in is impossible. Let's build this motherfucker just in case..."
And Bush, being Bush, signs off on it. But, like all of these stupid Flash movies, its not as simple as "b/c he wants this, he has no idea how evil nukes are and he's ready to fling them around willy-nilly" or whatever else that video is trying to say. It's just a silly propaganda piece.
But, you know, of course the government knows how bad using nukes are. We do have way too many of them, and deweaponizing is taking place. I dont think this guy will be used lightly, if its ever used (which I doubt it).
Okay, I've watched this song about a dozen times, and as much as I like the content, I really like the song. I haven't been able to find it on KaZaA, so I was wondering if anyone knows how to rip it from the video?
Sorry Shinobi, I kind of stole your thread, word for word .

I imagine it gets hits if you type in Bob Hope instead of Sinatra. It's one of my favorite songs, though I think that since they used it for Hussein they should have rewritten the lyrics.
Not from me, I *heart* TNL too much. :)Quote:
