I mean, if they fall into the trap of trying to rationalize their world they'll have to answer all kinds of meaningless questions. Like what the fuck actually happened in the ending of FF7 and how it relates to Advent Children. Somehow, I doubt we can expect that luxury.

EDIT: I stick by what I said about Cid though, that shit is psychoanalysis for reals, son.

It would only take a simple quick explanation. They do it in movies often. I'm not asking for anything more. Besides the movie is called and based of a game called Final Fantasy.

Which most don't consider a FF movie just some nice CGI science fiction movie with a stupid plot.

Yet it was still called "Final Fantasy" and had espers in it, sorta. What I'm getting at is that if we're already suspending disbelief I don't see a reason to try and rationalize such a minute detail. I mean, if you're legitimately interested I certainly don't begrudge you for it, I'm just saying that for me it would be odd if they, of all things, decided to explain that.

Well I love science fiction alot so yea I was actually interested in a very,very short explanation of how it actuall functions. If they don't I wont care because this is one of the most nice looking CGI movies to date. I just hope they didn't forget about the story like last time.
