Yeah it was a shitty story but it was all worth it to see rude and reno. Frankly they stole the show. I'm a converted Reno fangirl.

It's been a while since I played the game, but wasn't sephiroth looking for the promised land or something during the game? looking for a new world seemed pretty close to his in-game motivation.

Sephiroth was an odd duck in FFVII. He became convinced during his life as a SOLDIER that he was an ancient, the last of a civilization that died long ago. His error was in believing that Jenova was an ancient or mother of ancients, while in reality she exterminated the real ones.

Jenova operates by moving from planet to planet, messing with its people and dominating the world until it no longer supplies her with energy.

After his death, in subsequent appearances Sephiroth starts spouting off nonsense about "promised lands" and taking over the planet after meteor hits and whatnot, but that's Jenova talking at that point.

Yeah, when Cloud owns him by throwing him off the edge into the mako pit. The next time you see the real Sephy he's frozen in a materia crystal near the middle of disc 2 and again at the end of the game.

Yea there interesting to go back in read. I read this thing back when I was a jr in High School.

So I'm guessing since half of TNL changed their avatars to it, this actually turned out pretty good.
