I assume it's a somewhat vague subtitle. Most likely it was Yazoo trying to call a bluff that was real in the first place, and Reno acted all insulted by it.Quote:

 yeah I didnt get that scene, or the one with Marlene, Cloud, and Vincent at Ajit. Marlene gets pissed at Cloud that he wants some info or something. Cloud should have said "listen you little bitch, Rufus set my ass up, so I'm going to go kick his ass until he comes clean about these guys with the white hair!" He couldve got Jenovas head right then and ended this thing early. And Vincents, like "Cloud is this really about the fight?"...........uh....yeah, I think it is,dude.Quote:

The two of them were captured by the silver glam gang.
Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but the chronology I found confusing. The fact that the Turks were completely unphased by their capture made me think it was way in the past, and the way Vincent was blathering how he could barely save them made me think they'd be really deformed. Nope, pristine at the end, totally out of nowhere. Where were they the whole time?Quote:

I enjoyed the movie. I actually hope that a remake of FFVII for PS3 will change the plot of FFVII so it fits with Advent Children. It would have been awesome if Cloud used Knights of the Round at the end. Not like it would have made the movie make less sense.

Want to try the subs I found? They may be different.
I'm using these (that's not the original file name, I changed it so that XBMC would load them). If yours are different, by all means please upload.
They're not different. :(
That means the timing sucks on mine too. I haven't watched it yet. This makes me sad.
You should totally fix the timing and repost them. <3
Er, wait. I just tested them with BS Player and they work fine. Must be something screwy with XBMC. Dammit.
I remember before we were trying to watch something on my friend's XBMC, and the timing of the subtitles was off. What was odd was, as the show went on, they got more and more off.
That used to happen a lot to me with my old ass version of XMBC. A new one (w/ DVD playback) is out and about now.
I haven't had any subtitle timing problems in a while.
So it is mostly fixed? Good. I was thinking about modding my Xbox when the 360 comes out, and that was one of my hesitations.
My friend who translated some of Falcom's Ys scripts redid that srt actually. You'd know his work if you've played any of my Ys fan translation patches. So yeah, I thought I'd upload it for anyone interested since I caught this topic. He says he significantly improved it. In his words it's now, "definitely much less 1st-year-Japanese-student." I'll be watching it with his when I get a chance.
I noticed a difference, much better if you ask me. Tell your friend thanks. :)Quote:

In any case, placing a five-second delay on the subtitles fixed the issue.Well thank you kindly.Quote:

i dont know whats wrong with your versions mine works fine on winamp timing is perfect and quality is great.
As for the movie...the world is not ready.
Reading is fundamental.
Just a hint... don't watch this movie with a bunch of people who have little clue about Final Fantasy VII. I did so tonight, and trying to explain everything got old REAL quick.
Also, I'd like to point out that people who make it a habit of asking what is going to happen later in the movie, who such and such is, or other questions, when they could just WATCH THE GOD DAMNED MOVIE TO FIND OUT THE ANSWERS need to be stabbed in the neck.
That is all.
I have a friend I'm doing that with because I know she'll love the style and fighting regardless of who the characters are, but I'm also going to show her Last Order first so that she has at least some clue as to who everyone is and what happened. I'm rather glad they made that along with AC.Quote:

Cloud and Zack's escape from ShinRa is in the US version of the game... you mean it wasn't in the Japanese original release?
As far I as know that scene was in the original, but I'm not a 100% sure they did add stuff in the USA version that wasn't in the original Japanese version that is why they released the International version in Japan. I thought there was a bit more added to that scenario in the International version though I could be wrong.Quote:

What an amazing film. Sincerely.
I have the original version of FFVII, purchased three days after it came out. The Cloud/Zack stuff is in there. Once you get to the third disc, just go back to the lab in the Shin-Ra mansion. Either it happens ASAP or you examine the tubes in the lower right of the screen.
Anyway, I can't wait to see this.
i have a question me and my friend were having an arguement about the attack that red does on neo bahamut when he turns all green and shit.my friend thinks its ultima im tryin to tell him its one of his limit breaks.
I think it was a limit break
thank you :D
The shinra mansion sucked. I died on that Wrong Number boss like 200000 times.Quote:

Mzo is correct.
So when I was watching the movie I thought I recognized Tifa's voice from some TV Show and after checking the credits I found out that she was the lead singer for the band Mean Machine, apparently. I had gotten their CD at the end of August.
So here she is singing.
And Aerith is Sakamoto Maaya, which I thought was pretty cool.Quote:

It shouldn't matter, just put everyone in the back row with the Long Range materia.Quote:

Yeah, seeing the movie and bringing up some of the game's finer points makes me want to play it again. I actually went through the trouble of finding my case of old PS1 games from some dust-ridden closet to find it. I wouldn't think it's 40 dollars to get a copy, though.
Hit him with magic while he's building your limit breaks in red form, the use limit breaks when he changes to green. Provided you're using level three limit breaks, should work with level two though.Quote:

Um, Reno always said Yo, that was just being true to his character.
OVerall I think it was masterfully done, and sure as hell is what the first final fantasy movie should have been like over the top, cheesy as hell at points, and yet good. The story wasn't horrible, it wasn't anything I'd call imaginative or deep, but it wasn't horrible. And all the fight scenes were well done so I enjoyed it greatly.
I wanted more vincent though.
Dork that I am, I made a FF Fanfare ringtone for my cell phone yesterday.
If you were a real dork, that would have been your ringtone for 2 years prior... Mind you I had the one from VI.
I just want a ringtone that yells "Sephiroth!" in chorus.
Edit: and only once, so I can forget people called me.
FF7 was the first game that justified me owning a PlayStation, and was the first game I actually had to have for it. However...
I never beat FF7 because we moved from our nice suburban house in Orlando to a piece of shit trailer in Taylorstown, PA because my stepdad thought the stock market was going to crash/he hated my grandparents/he wanted to be a farmer, and I was forced to leave my PlayStation down in FL. A year later I return, in the crater, just before Jenova... and I have no idea why I'm there, what happened, whatever. So I go to start another file... and just can't. Too far along to just start again, to long ago to just beat the game and have no idea why I'm beating up such and such monster. Plus, add to the fact that the game wasn't as rosy as I remember (while in PA, I did enough odd-job farmwork to buy an old-ass TV and another Super Nintendo with Contra III, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, and Final Fantasy 3 for fairly cheap). After playing FF3, I looked at FF7 as a step backwards for the series.
Also, Aerith's death scene just didn't do anything for me. Grandia was the first game to get me to cry towards the end of the game when Gaia is devastating the land and everyone in the game considers victory hopeless, hero and villain. When the three Seargeants, who up to that point had been comic relief (No no no! The code for the door is up up, down down, left right left right!!!) start getting all serious and ready to pull out... I broke like a glass, dude.
To this day, I haven't looked back.
Final Fantasy Tactics > Every other FF anyways.

... and FF VII: Advent Children made me cry too. How can something so bad be so good? I'm in love.
I'm proud to say that I have never cried at a videogame....ever. And never will.
Not even out of pure hatred?
Nah, theres usually a girlfriend or a pet hanging around to take it out on.
