Crave is publishing this, with Argonaut and Global Star doing the development, I believe. I'm hooked on the pretty expansive OXM demo, and can't wait to snatch it up for $20 in a month. The graphics are phenomenal, especially the water. The gameplay is a lot like the Wave Race games, only the controls are a little smoother for racing. Trick controls are a bit sloppy though, hopefully, that's just an issue with the demo.
I've saw some screens and such and I've always wondered if this is going to be good. At 20 dollars it can't be that bad I suppose. If you get it let me know if it's worth snatching.
I'd like a bit more in depth explanation of how the "controls are smoother for racing", as I think that Wave Race has some of the best control around as far as racing games go.Quote:

I think I liked the gameplay in Blue Storm more, but the original had much better stages and the music was perfect.
Kidnemo, the controls for maneuvering around the other racers and the buoys are a little smoother in Carve, while the controls for tricks are a little muddy, and pale in comparison to those in Wave Race 64, or Blue Storm, for that matter.
Why is everybody praising the controls, visulas and music in an old black and white Gameboy game? I mean, nothing wrong with them for what they were but they weren't that great either.
Taking my smartassness elsewhere now...
