GI Joe Movie

I thought this movie was shit from the very beginning, so none of this surprises me. Will enjoy seeing this burn to the ground like a flaming mess though. I just hope everyone responsible loses their job and is tarnished for it. Deservingly so.

Oh and Dole, I'd give up any hope for the next one. I just don't see Hollywood ever getting this property right, or at least not so for older fans as TNL has.


PS. Kind of case in point, the Fantastic Four movies. They're going to be more inclusive to youth and families. Actually I think they're great, obviously in the vein mentioned earlier, but nonetheless enjoyable and as good as Fantastic Four movies can get.

So you guys are thinking this movie is going to suck based off of one scene you saw in a trailer... talk about reading a book by it's cover. I'm not to happy about these suits either, but I'm pretty sure that they are only used once and for some specific reason. I seriously doubt that every encounter has them using it. Unfortunately some movie makers forget about what made the damn franchise so popular when making a movie, seems like they also forget about the fans, but even saying that wouldn't be right to watch the movie first and then say it sucked? Hell if I thought like you guys are talking I wouldn't have seen Transformers because I was sure it was going to suck, but I do is what I do with all movies now a days have little to no expectation. And I usually walk out of the theater satisfied. If they brought the action and don't screw it up too much then I don't have a problem. But it they make a movie like Max Payne that made me feel like it was a waste of time then I'll think it sucked.

The idea behind a trailer is to sell us on the movie. None of us want that fucking accelerator bullshit so maybe they should have held that a bit closer to the chest.

Exactly. The trailer's supposed to contain pretty much the best shots of the movie. If that's the case here, G.I. Joe's in a fuck of a lot of trouble.

The whole Idea for a trailer is to sell yeah you are right, but trailers do lie sometimes. There are many times that a trailer will contain scenes that aren't even in the movie. Anyone remember Highlander End Game? The whole trailer was false. Now this more than likely isn't the case here, but to nitpick on something that could be a pretty good action scence because it wasn't in the cartoon is... well the way of the internet. It's not faithful to the source, but is it a good movie, well we'll find out.

Daitokuji is so desperate for this shitty, shitty, shitty movie to be decent, that he is even banking on the trailers being deceitful.

The best part of this is .... Some people saw the workprint ... and said it sucked. They said the Accelertor suits are in one scene the one in the trailer ... fine.

Some said the overall movie was ok, not great. Others said it was terrible. The overall consensus was more meh than ... AWESOME! By comparison the TF movie was rated awesome. Few flaws yes, but everyone left saying it was enjoyable. Now these people who watched it are ones who have no clue who GI Joe are or what are the TF's ... mind you.

The other problems with the film are the Destro CG mask, CC not in a mask, CC being the brother of Duke, Baroness and Duke once being lovers, Scarlett and Ripcord having an on screen kiss, at one point having Snake eyes talk .... need I go on?

Baroness refers to the Joes as "Real American Heroes".

Yeah, really. This seems the same as the other trailers, but there's different stuff sprinkled throughout. What I talk about is near the end.

You and EIGHT OTHERS. I remember the trailer for Cutthroat Island from 4th or 5th grade. I remember a serrated, bendy pirate knife.... I should see that movie. Renny Harlin man, that guy's career has been pretty terrible.

I saw Stealth in theaters. It was at a drive in, so I basically just wanted to go to the theater no matter what was playing.

This is all just nerd shit that nobody really cares about but nerds. Loyalty to a really not very good cartoon show doesn't make a good movie. This movie would be bad if CC wore a mask and Snake Eyes didn't talk. It's a Steven Sommers movie for Christ's sake? I saw Van Helsing in theaters and I don't think I'll ever rub away the black spot on my soul.

God what a bad fucking movie.
