I understand what you mean. I too, am one of the only people that didn't mind the SMS camera. Actually, before coming to TNL, I wasn't even aware it was a problem. But I suppose I'm the uber lenient camera player because even though the camera's gone a little sketchy 4 or 5 times in the demo, I'm enjoying myself far too much to bother with it. IMO.
Shit is definitely fun, no arguments there. Wouldn't let the camera stop me from enjoying it in the end anyway. Waiting to see lots of impressions from the final retail version here before I decide if I buy or rent this one.

Apparently the demo that was offered in OXM's March issue, is the same demo as the playable one at E3 last year. In other words, if that's true, then the game's certainly taking some vast improvements, graphically and the camera as well. Played NG with some people Friday night and got our biggest PS2 only enthusiast to promise to buy a Box by March or April. Good stuff :P
The more I play the demo, the less the camera bothers me. I still don't like it, though. Why not give me control of the camera with the right control stick instead of giving me a lame first person mode I can gauran-damn-tee I'm not going to use the whole game (unless they friggin' force me to). I mean, come on! The bow is the only valis reason for using a first person mode, and you can do that by holding in the freaking button. Team Ninja really does do some fantastic work, though.
1. Because resorting to constant fine tuning on the R analog fucks up the flow of the action. Since you are often being rushed by multiple enemies, you need to be able to instantly move and attack at the same time, a feat which cannot be properly accomplished if you're always switching between the face buttons and the R thumbstick. Some people are griping (a true shock), but I welcome the largely successful attempt at steamlining the controls for a fast-paced 3D action game.Quote:
