I'm going to make a call to my local Gamestop to see if they carry the magazine (For some resaon, I don't think they do). If not, it looks like I'll be driving around town from Target to the Safeway =X
I'm loving this demo. That is all.

I've played the demo through 4 times now. I killed the boss on my first try, but on my next 3 play-throughs, he killed me every time. I guess I had beginner's luck my first time.
I watched Chux play it.
Looked awesome.
In case no one has seen the demo, there is a torrent in the following link with a 15 minute mpeg of the game in action. The player has already mastered the level so it looks incredible when he does it.

Good stuff, whoever played that sucks ass, what's with the overuse of ninja stars, use your blades mang!!!!
The weapons are awesome. You can go from super-speedy-ninja-dude to Sword of Berserk by changing weapons. They're balanced very well.
Did you just casually miss him clearing the entire stage barely taking any damage and racking up over 20 hit combos constantly?Quote:

Also, in watching this, I've noticed that Itagaki is liberally ripping off all of the best things from some of the highest profile martial arts action games. I actually think that this definitely how you create a winning game though.
I saw the Shinobi wall-run, the soul gathering and weapong charging from Onimusha 1 and 2, and that particular stage was very reminiscent of Onimusha's environments, aside from being full 3D and looking about 5x better. CKA mentioned to me that he saw some Tenchu elements as well, but I forgot what they are.
My favorite thing in the vid had to be what appeared to me to be DOA style counters. The game really fell into form, and despite the delays, this video has rekindled my fervent anticipation.
