Anyways, the good: Sean Bean played an awesome Odysseus, Eric Bana may have lost the fight but he was the better actor, Achilles vs. Hectar, Helen's bum (where was the rest of her? No dummy, I mean more of her role). :xx:

The bad: The romance between Paris n' Helen looked to be resembling a teenage couple sneaking off from their parents to go make out. Ahhh, another large batttle scene, after the 3rd battle I was yawning. :rolleyes:
Brad in between battles appeard bored of his role. Pitt said, "I what I want, everyman wants, more," and I agreed after paying for a movie that could has easily been called Achilles. More myth (where was Teh gods? , less money.

He liked Troy better than LotR.

He'll like whatever he wants to. I, too, am puzzled why. But then I remind myself I don't care.

I saw it Monday...I thought it was pretty good. Too much naked Brad Pitt, however. Actually, any naked Brad Pitt is too much.

But what you expect from Ancient Greeks, D ;) At least I hope there wasnt as much man love in the film, as it was in the original story :p

I really thought this movie could have been a ton better. For me, it was too long, too boring and fights were just plain lame. And how many times did we have to see them burning someones body??? I thought most of the acting was poor except for Hectar who did a great job. Brad Pitt just didn't have any emotion and they really didn't show him as an incredible bad ass except for the beginning. If it was subtitles, I would have killed myself. Some movies are great withs subs, but not this 2 hr 45 min pos. I will say it was better than Gladiator, but Braveheart and The Last Samurai are just so much better than this its not even funny.

Actually if there's a flaw in Brad Pitts acting its that he showed TOO MUCH emotion. The Ancient Greek warriors were incredibly bottled warriors who's sole bidding was to kill. That's what I got from Eberts review, anyway.

Subtitles wouldn't have been good for THIS movie, I agree. But I think when you use subtitles the director is forced into making a movie very encapsulating and enthralling.

Nope, they almost showed Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom's dick numerous times but thankfully, at least there was no man-love. For instance, Patroclus was changed from Achilles' 'friend' (and according to some accounts, ass-gobbler) in the story to his 'cousin' in the movie.

I enjoyed it, and I think it was done nicely in not showing favoritism towards either the Greeks or the Trojans.
