it says something like 13452 yen as the price...
in nearly 4 years, i've never seen a product priced as a non-rounded-to-5/10 yen figure.
Also, given that you can buy brand new DC's for around 6000 yen (with an official price of 9800 yen) , i don't see how they'd get away with charging that sort of price (especially as a GC goes for 14,000).
Anyways, i'd say someone has got the wrong end of the stick with this rumour.
Inclined to say it's a delightful mix of bull and shit. However, the release date is Feb 24th, the day Sega's Puyo Puyo Fever is released on DC. Doubtful, but I could see it. *-neo

There are a bunch of great NEW games coming for the DC soon: shikigami II, psyvariar 2, puyo puyo, etc. Not to mention recent games like BorderDown. It only makes sense to make more units available. I'll buy a new one if it's under $100 (as my japanese DC is probably on its last legs, though I still haven't had a single problem with it!). Maybe they'll put a DVD drive in it (that also reads GD-ROMs) so you can watch movies? Maybe that's why it's $130?? Maybe not.... :(
