Maybe it's because I'm more used to the design... Maybe it's because I've mostly played games that utilize the design... Maybe it's because I don't try to fault Nintendo on every little decision they make.
I love the N64 and GC controllers, too. For games that were designed for them.
I repeat, for games that were specifically designed with those controllers in mind. For anything cross-platform, the controllers suck.
sounds right to me. ive got a launch pad and the remodeled one and used to have the jvc controller. they all fealt different.Quote:

I don't get why people drool all over the Saturn pad. I mean, it's a good pad. It gets the job done.
It's no Genesis 6 button pad, though.
And to anyone who claims the NES controller is superior to the TG16/PCE controller: choke.

The same way the Dreamcast controller is basically the Saturn 3D controller, only minus the awesome analog, decent d-pad, and the C and Z buttons.
The Jaguar pad was OK for what was on it. For games like Iron Soldier and Alien vs. Predator where you were changing weapons a lot the number pad was actually quite efficient. In fact, it was a fairly decent controller all around, even if the number pad wasn't used.
Now to piss some people off :D :
My least favorite controllers are the DS PS2 controllers and the GBASP. The reason being because I can't play with either of the aforementioned controllers for too long before my hand starts cramping up. It just feels like my fingers are about to interlace and just... blergh. Thats the reason I just got a Afterburner kit for my original GBA. ;)
How can someone hands cramp from using DS2?
I would understand if it was Xbox pad, or DC just because of the before mentioned bad design, but DS2 fits greatly in your hands, button placement is perfect and within the reach of fingers, and 4 triggers are also right where they supposed to be.
And while I hate N64 pad with the passion, Cube one is quite good, even though its weird shape and design, made me think otherwise prior to trying it out.
