Worst Controllers Ever made (pics encouraged)

So far, the worst quality controllers I've seen are that SNES one that Captain Veggie posted and these really crappy, cheap Dreamcast controllers my mother bought me for Christmas one year when I specifically asked for Sega ones; I don't even remember the brand. The SNES one made absolutely no sense at all and the plastic was flimsy. The Dreamcast ones had terrible triggers (I can't compare them to anything, they were just horrid and blocky) and the d-pad was this plastic that bent when even the slightest pressure was applied.

Those of you who remember and dislike SpoDaddy will be happy to know I gave those DC controllers to him. :)

In my opinion, I hated the GameCube controller - it was just too small and uncomfortable. I hated how small the Genny 6-button pad was. I don't see anything special about the original Saturn controller. I agree that it seems really light and flimsy, but it's not a bad pad by any means. Unlike everyone else, I love the original X-Box controller and the DC controller. I also really like the N64 pad - for the two games I play on it (Goldeneye and ASB 2000), it's perfect. Best pad ever, for me, though, was the AsciiPad for the SNES. I still have two of them which work perfectly fine and my hands never get cramped using them. Great for fighting games because the D-Pad is fantastic.

This is a general pic to represent most american made arcade sticks. (The exceptions being MAS and SAV sticks). I like the gamecube controller, think it's joystick is in a much better position than the dual shock 2's. I hate both of thier pads, and i love the snes d-pad. The gamecube's Z-button is terrible, but i don't mind the triggers at all. I really think that the button layout on the face of the gcn controller is a really great tool, but, as mzo said, only really utilized in games made specifically for it (ROGUE LEADER...)For fighting games, you really just need to get a fighting game specific controller, i guess with the exception of the xbox s controller, or playing ggxx.

Then explain why I don't have that problem with the Gravis Gamepad, S-controller, Saturn pad (either version), arcade sticks, DC controller, or the Microsoft Sidewinder (at least three different versions)? When I tried to learn Millia's 2369P attack a couple months ago I found it was nearly impossible to perform on the Dual Shock because the motion is so fast and the pad so indented it rarely recognizes the diagional. The motion I have to do is 2368P which means I need to move my fingers faster then I should have to, it breaks the flowing movement which gives greater room for error, and it removes the forward angled jump aspect which gives it slightly less range. If this was something that I could do on maybe one controller occasionally then sure, I'd agree I just suck at it. But if I can do such movements on at least nine different controllers then that gives me a strange nagging feeling it's not me.

Agreed. P.N.03 feels great on it (and is strangely the only game where I don't mind the Z-trigger which is otherwise horrible).

So, so wrong. The Genesis 6 button pad has a totally different shape to it, and the d-pad feels better to me. My tiny, girly hands would have to rate it as the best controller ever.

The runner-up being that fucked up PS controller I bought on clearance at EB, the one that looks like one controller but the middle section comes out so you can hold one side in each hand, with nothing in the middle. It's insane. Useless, but insane.

Oh, and that Alps pad I got on clearance. The batarang. I like that controller, though it's a big bulky.

I like weird controllers.

Anyone ever use this controller for PlayStation? Looked super horrible. I don't even have a clue as to how it worked, except that the sphere could pivot like a joystick, rotate, and make toast or something.

This is one of the few controllers I did not buy on clearance.

Even I have standards.

I want one. If nothing else, to whip it out once in a while and pretend it's all 1337 and stuff in front of my friends and try to get them to figure out what the hell it is.
