Whoever decided that it would be easier to bring the whale to the scientists, rather than bringing the scientists to the whale, is a fucking dumbass.

02. Saying that Taiwan is China would get you a lot of trouble in some parts of the world (namely, Taiwan and China).
"More than 100 Tainan city residents, mostly men, have reportedly gone to see the corpse to 'experience' the size of its penis," the newspaper reported. <--WTF is up with that?
I'm sorry, but this cannot be ignored:

I made a post saying what Gohron said and then realized that Gohron said it. Whee.
Actually saying that Taiwan is a part of China wouldnt get you in trouble in China at all, that's their belief. And in a strange sort of way, it is for Taiwan too. (Taiwan's official name is the Republic of China) They both believe they are one nation, they just have differing views on who leads.
I'd totally make some whale cakes out of those guts.
Taiwan is trying to change this assertion, this is why tensions have been a little higher in the region. President Chen Shuibian wants a referendum to declare formal independence from the mainland, although it doesn't seem like it will happen anymore especially after the US showing its disapproval as well. Talk of it has been quieted down as well. Other recent developments include referring to Taiwan as "Taiwan" on official passport applications where it was previously the "Republic of China".Quote:
