Unreal 2 XBox

So whats the deal with this game?? Theres been almost no coverage anywhere for this game and according to EBGames.com its shipping next week (11th).

From what little I've seen for the Xbox version it might be kinda cool on Live. Cool fighter classes and some vehicles on Live. Might be a nice diversion to play besides Rainbow Six. From the little coverage its getting though,the game probably sucks. You never know, it may be good. I'm hoping it is.

Unreal 2, along with UT2K3, pretty much decimated the Unreal legacy. The game itself was actually not half bad, but it was a very big dissapointment, especially compared to the original (UT2K3 just sucked).

Also, Epic didnt even do the game.

So, yea, the game isn't getting much press because it wasnt very good in the first place.

I hope that by original your just referring to UT because the first Unreal, while amazing looking for it's time, was 50 million times worse than Unreal 2 ever was and could be.

Chojin, the original game was good for its time. It certainly hasnt aged well at all, but it showed everybody how kickass the Unreal engine was and established the brand. Unreal 2 was just like... plop.

I like UT2k3's look. Nice for a quick pick up game. No depth though.

I dissagree. I hated it when it came out. The weapon balance totally killed the game making even the most worthless enemies take tons of damage(Or the weapons just did next to none) and ruined combat. The levels and puzzles were shitty too. If not for the graphics I would never have finished it. Not to mention there was Quake 2, which made Unreals gameplay and shitty multi look even worse.

Unreal II on XBOXLive is just the XMP PC add-on.

I want to get it but Im afraid of it selling like crap, and then being stuck with a game that not only has a boring single player game, but no one online to play with.

the xmp addon which is free for pc.......yet itll be full retail price for the xbox i assume?

That would bite.....hard.
