Had I not played NWN (man, it all comes down to that), I'd finish the game. I just think it too much closely resembles it. KoTOR is certainly not the worst game I've played--far from it, but I think it has a lot of pacing issues (just like NWN ;p). Granted, I haven't played the entire game, so maybe it isn't fair to complain about it as much as I do (which I don't think is all that much).
Did you even get off of the first planet in KOTOR? The pacing picks up quite a bit after that.

Of course. I'm not like a few other people on the forum that will bag on a game (and I know of one on this thread even...guess who) that I haven't played much of--much less played at all.
I'm willing to give it another shot. Left the save on the HD, after all.
Yeah, much of my hatred for Bioware comes from the latter part of the game. But imprisonment is VERY annoying. Even if you get your character back, you have to re-equip them and get all their items back. Not to mention that you can fight that arch lich very early in the game. While I suppose I could just avoid it, being a completist, I NEED to beat the thing.Quote:

Improved Mace of Destruction counts as a +5 weapon. It'll hit every enemy in the game. Protection from Undead will make any lich ignore you, so you can kill them in peace.
I'm not sure which lich you're talking about, though. If it's Kangaxx, all you have to do is have everyone but your mage read a Protection from Undead scroll, then have your mage cast Protection from Magic: Abjuration so he can't be imprisoned. When Kangaxx's near dead you have to have your mage (who was safely waiting off screen up until this point) talk to him (which is why he didn't read a scroll, because if he did Kangaxx would ignore him) so he turns into a demilich. Whoever's carrying the Improved Mace and maybe Carsomyr if you have a Paladin then turns him into a fine paste.
If it's Shangalar, that fight's alot tougher. But only because he hangs around a bunch of nasty non-undead types.
