And I have little conversations with toll booth operators. Figure their jobs are shit enough, why not try to cheer them up a little?
But yeah, I could be in the running for the worst driver on TNL.
I mean, I'm really GOOD at driving, which is why I haven't caused any accidents, but I get easily distracted.
Anyone else suck at driving?
Once, I had this girl_friend who I would take home from school everyday. She had big, giant bird eyes that were really far apart. She hypnotized me and caused us to run into the back of a "custom" pick-up truck. It was so her fault.

Sapphire is perfectly fine when she's on her own, but as soon as I get into the car with her, she just turns her brain off and forgets where anything is. It's amazing. Then, if we're going somewhere and she actually remembers, she gets mad when I remind her. :)
Some things she's done: going down the wrong way in parking lots that have one-way lanes, missing stop signs, forgetting which road takes us to the grocery store even though we go there frequently, getting "confused" by other drivers and getting in the wrong lane (i.e. a turn lane when we need to go straight, etc.), and getting off the wrong highway exit for a mall or some other place we go to a lot. Oh yeah, and she can't park very well, either.
This doesn't just apply to driving, either - since I've played and beaten Morrowind, she doesn't pay attention while she's playing because she thinks she can ask me and I'll tell her how to do something. Hehe.

I... Can't yet drive. Hell, I don't even officially have my temps right now. I've only driven once, and I almost wrecked.
But it was pure ice on the ground, and I was driving clutch in a rally car at 40mph. Not the best of starting conditions...
...So I keep trying to tell myself, anyway. My brother could give you all a run as far as bad driving goes. he's CONSTANTLY changing/messing with his CDs and the radio, or looking in the mirror at himself, or yelling at his damn bitch of a girlfriend. He's been in eight accidents so far, five of which he caused, and he can't drive in Kentucky for three years or Ohio for one and a half. He's only had his license for a bit over one year. :)

I'm a pretty crazy driver. When people get in the car with me, their toes curl up. I weave in and out, and speed. One time, I was driving home from a nightshift overtime and I was changing to the outerlane for faster cars, and this van came out from no where and went inbetween me and the divider. His back wheel smacked my front driver tire and my bumper causing me to swerve and almost smacking the BMW SUV on my right side at the same time almost smacking into the divider. Luckily I was able to get control. Not to mention, that fucker just kept driving.
I don't think I'm a bad driver but everyone who gets into the car with me tends to get scared. Especially when it come to stopping at lights or behind cars, they all think I stop too late but screw 'em I've got a perfect driving record.

From what I've seen of the official "drifting league" or whatever, the whole point is to slide around every turn--even it it means that it'll only eat tires and time. I do driving like I do videogames. If I'm in an unfamiliar car, I don't do much that would push the car. The more I drive it, the more I get used to the capabilities of the vehicle. Over time, I can pull some CRAZY shit in the car and still be 100% in control at all times, with no risk at all.
But you put me in someone else's car, especially if it's a truck, SUV or van, and I can't even keep the thing straight. I can't drive big cars :(
the trick to driving is lead distance. Everything else is secondary.
*gasp* My driving test is in a week. I'm not sure what car I'm going to be driving... either a Ranger, Focus, or some random beater that we pick up. I don't want an expensive car, but I'm already pretty used to both of them. The Focus is definitely a lot smoother to drive, and it's nice that I don't have 8" throws each shift.

I drive the speed limit (give or take a few MPH) but I got quite the road-rage thing going.
A lot of times when driving I'll just zone out, and when I snap out of it I'm in my driveway.

I miss my 'ol POS. A blue '86 Chevy Nova hatchback, I wish I had pics of it. The cloth on the inside ceiling hung on by a couple of small patches of glue, it could barely break 90 mph, stickers covered up most of the back concealing the rust spots, a sun faded Pikachu sitting in the back window next to a broken R.O.B., basketball dents all over the place & it reeked of pot after I had it for about 3 months.
I drove that thing like I had nothing to loose and surprisingly never had a single accident. If the engine didn't die I'd still be driving it today.

My friend had the coolest POS ever. it was an old Holden EH (The defination of an aussie car), and the drivers seat was held up by his steering wheel lock. Noisy as a mother fucker.
as for me, I have zero desire to drive. I'm getting pestered by everyone to get my license, but I simply don't care about it, and if you saw our extensive licensing method, you'd understand why I can't be bothered. Still, I should get my learners soon, the systems just gonna get worse (well, technically its better, but its the biggest fucking hassle in the world).
